A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

It’s time to play “Name That Suspension”

I’m just going to come right out and say it.  I love The Sinner Team.  They’re consistently pushing the limits of suspension, while keeping safety the number one priority.  They’re also coming up with new ways to hang people all the time.  Add to all that their willingness to learn, and a flair for the dramatic, and you’ve got one of the finest teams working together right now.  That all said, here’s one of their latest suspensions, an 18 point…  something.

Technically it looks like it could be called an inverted-vertical coma, but that’s a bit of a tongue twister.  What about “The Leap of Faith Suspension”?  Given that it looks like she’s jumped off something backwards, and is falling headfirst but unable to see the ground.

For those of you who are curious about the hook placement, The Sinner Team provided this photo showing you the exact positioning.

A big thanks to Polina Krasnova for getting this suspension on camera.  From what I can tell she’s become The Sinner Team’s official photographer.
