A black-and-white photo of a person mid-air in a Superman-style body suspension pose, supported by multiple hooks in their back and legs, smiling joyfully toward the camera. They are suspended horizontally in a large indoor space with high ceilings and visible rigging. A group of onlookers—some seated, some standing—watch with expressions of admiration, amusement, and support. The atmosphere is lively and communal, capturing a moment of shared experience and transformation.

Maximum Hooks

Ascension Suspension sets a world record as Steve Truitt et al suspend Brandon Johnston from three hundred hooks (official count: 296) that took two and a half hours to install during their Halloween show. See also: 178 hook suspension (the previous record).

Whoa, crazy! Your body doesn’t go into shock or anything like that?

I love how ‘modblog’ looks like a tattoo. 🙂

They were slightly larger than 14ga hooks.

Your body does go into shock. its not a real bad shock but a challenging expierence for sure. its more about the mind control of keeping yourself aware and in control. and yes the hooks were about 14 ga.

Looking at the pics…Are the hooks in pairs, connected by wire?

Then the pole is threaded through the loop of wire?

Is that thinner than the normal gauge used? Just curios since I figure they could use a smaller gauge since there are so many hooks to support the weight.
    Looks wicked anyway
