My first tattoo i will never forget. I had been wanting to get one since I was sixteen years old. My parents wouldn't let me get one, but I had gone so far as to make an appointment with out them. Some of my friends already had a tattoo. I was so jealous. I had begged and begged them to let me and all they ever said was as soon as you are eighteen, you can do what ever you want. so disappointing. I took their advise and as soon as i turned eighteen, I did exactly what I wanted... I got a tattoo!

So after two long years of waiting, I made an appointment for the day after my eighteenth birthday.

Only one problem...a big problem... I didn't know exactly what tattoo to get. I had always known that i wanted something that had stars incorperated into it. I went into some galleries and looked to see if anything would catch my eye, but nothing did. I mean a saw a few that I liked, but nothing really special. then I went on the internet. I looked and looked on the computer for what seemed like a life time. There are so many sites, but none of them seemed to have what i was looking for. Then I read about someone going to this site. so I came to this site and with in the first hour I found exactly what i wanted. I knew that was the one I wanted as soon as I saw it. I decided to get a cluster of stars running along down from the side of my breast to my hip. I went into the parlor to get an estimate and see about how much it would cost and how much I would have to save up. During this time my best friend got her own first tattoo!! I was so jealous! She loves dolphins so she got a pair of dolphins jumping out of the water on her lower stomach. It looks so cute. She told me all about her experience since i couldn't make it to go with her when she got it. She told me what to expect. I must recommend having a friend get one before you so you can find out everything that happens and what to expect. I even got to see what it was going to be like after the tattoo was done. Stuff like healing and itching and peeling I could expect. So that was really nice to know before hand.

So when the big day came I was so excited! I was nervous too though. we walked in and I signed some papers and did some paper work. We discussed payment and all that boring stuff. I was so excited I couldn't even concentrate! so my tattooer, his name was marc, took me to this private room in the back of the shop. He sat me down in this chair that looked like the ones you see at the dentists. He was really nice. He told me everything he was doing while he was doing it. That made me feel a lot more calm about the whole thing. He had me lay on my side and put my arm up above my head. I guess that makes it easier for him. He showed me all the tools that he was going to use and explained to me what they were for and what they all do. I took my best friend with me and she held my hand the whole time. I thought it was gonna hurt way worse than it did. at first it really hurt but after a little bit I got used to it and didn't even really notice.

Went i was done my tattooer, marc, went over the after care with me and explained everything I needed to do. He told me all about staying out of the sun and to always put sunscreen on it. And he told me about keeping it moist and not letting it get dried out or anything.

Its been about three months since then and after the pain and itching after I got it I would do it over again in a second. It was totally worth it in every way imaginable! I love my new tattoo and plan to add some more!i show everyone my tattoo and I am so proud of it! It just makes me feel so sexy and rebellious... I love it!

Now that all my friends have seen mine they all want one too! Now they are all jealous just like i used to be. I have gone with two more of my friends when they got their tattoos. And some of my friends are still planning to get one. as for me... I am still looking for the second perfect design to jump out at me like the first one did!
