3rd Suicide Suspension

First Suspension... 4pt. Suicide... Guerrilla Style.

I tossed and turned the night before... anxious and nervous about my first suspension. Somehow I managed to catch a couple hours of sleep but I'm up bright and early at 9am trying to busy myself while I wait for Russ. He finally calls around noon and swings by my place to pick me up. We grab a bite to eat then run around doing some errands while we have the car on the road. The butterflies in my tummy are starting to grow as we head off to Russ' place to start poking holes in me. I'm nervous as ... read more

My first Suspension (Lotus) at 5.Superfly Summercamp (2008)

Hey there dear Reader, I'm glad you take your time to read through my little article and I feel honoured to share my experience with you. About one and a half weeks ago I experienced my first suspension. It happened at the Superfly Summercamp, which takes place once a year, always around this time. This year it was the 5th, it's organized by my piercer and by now a good friend of mine, Chandler and his suspension group, Superfly Suspension. On Friday was the meet'n'greet, Chandler did a couple of announcements and I also met a lot of very nice ... read more

DIY knee suspension

I wanted to do a suspension for a while. I hadn't suspended in a couple of months and was dying for some hooks. So I decided to take matters in my own hand and suspend myself. I tried it before, a 4pt resurrection, and failed. Oh well. Shit happens. So I decided on 4pt knees. I had done a couple of knee suspensions in the past and they went really well. I was up for almost an hour, but had tearing. The first time I had sutures, the second time we didn't have any, so I bled all night at ... read more

2pt chest suspension

I had wanted to do a chest suspension for years, after my first suspension, but I was always afraid of doing it. I did a 6pt knee, 2pt chest combo and enjoyed it. The hooks in the top of my knees gave me more trouble than anything else. I can't tolerate hooks in the top of my knees, I attempted a 2pt (6ga) knee suspension and I had shooting pains from the hooks, every time they were moved. Needless to say, I didn't get off the ground. I prefer a 4pt knee to a 6pt knee, even though I tend ... read more

My first suspension, 4pt suicide

I'll never forget my first suspension. Ever. I have a full backpiece and I was always afraid of having hooks in it, but I met with Tye and saw the scarring from his suspensions and it was very minimal, so I decided to go for a four point suicide. I had been deciding against that or a knee suspension for my first and decided that a 4pt suicide suspension was the way to go. We set a date and I arranged with Tye to stay over at his house that night and drive to Kitchener the day before. I gathered ... read more

my first suspension

My suspension experience. Suspension and pulling had always intrigued me ever since getting my first piercing (tongue) at the age of 16. Years went by without actually getting it done my chance came with a few others. So it was last November when I eventually got suspended it was part of the celebrations of the metal guru piercing studio, Stockton-on-tees England, celebrating been established for 10 years they had organised a couple of days of play piercings, suspension and some other non run of the mill piercings. So the suspension rig all set up in the ally outside the shop ... read more

The Suspension that Made Me Weak

Suspension Number: 9 I finally found my most challenging position. I've mastered the superman by far by going up in less than 60 seconds and staying up comfortably for almost 30. My suicides have gotten me up faster and up longer and swinging farther. My knee suspension from saturday took me 45 minutes to stay up less than 5. Why? I am afraid of being upside down for a long period of time, and the pain was excrutiating for me. For steve's birthday I thought I would try a new position, last year on his bday I did my first ... read more

Breaking My Suspension Cherry

I have been considering suspension for a while now, but I had never been able to get the nerve up to talk to anyone that would know where to actually go to do it. I know my local piercer had done it before so I got up the nerve to go in and ask him about it. He asks how much I weigh and tests my back and all that fun stuff like pulling on the skin on my back and asking where it hurts the least. He told me that he was willing to put me up whenever I ... read more

My 8th Suspension

I must say, since the dawn of my first suspension my style has changed. As of today I have suspended 8 times, 2 superwomans and 6 suicides. Before I used to cry and whine that I couldn't do it. I would pull for about 45 minutes before I had the stones to get off the ground. Eventually overtime, and with pain, I trained myself to take it, accept it, and hold on as much as you can. Every suspension is different, some I can stay up for 25 minutes, some 10, some 5. It depends on a lot of factors. ... read more
