Well, I always like to put a ton of research on piercings, I'm super involved with them and I came across the microdermal, since I needed an option instead of a anti eyebrow (which I've heard most surface piercings reject, I definitely didn't want that) so I ended up convincing my mom to just let me get it. I've gone to wandering canvas since my lip, and I always hear good things about them around here so I wanted to get mine done there. After more research and figuring out the money (it was $60 plus tip, I wanted high quality with a most likely permanent piercing) and I ended up loaning some off a friend since I'm usually good with paying back. Well the day comes and I walk in the tattoo shop like usual, and I wanted it to be filmed for youtube, but sadly he didn't want that so I just settled with it, not a big deal to me. I understood if he screwed up its liability, so it's cool. But I got up on the chair just waiting for the needle to go in, and I guess he put the needle i
n a couple of times to find the right spot, but I couldn't feel it at all...it was pretty much my easiest body mod so far with pain. I barely bled until a bit afterwards, but of course that's normal for a body mod. But the night I got it done, I was super worried about migration, and I slept on my face alot and I got all paranoid. Then a couple days later I wasn't sure exactly what the piercer said about what to clean it out with, so I simply used hydrogen peroxide...(wrong!) Never do that, it sounds wear but it's a bit harsh and it destroys the tissue growing around the piercing, leading to a better chance of rejection. But I went on yahoo answers all worried, but it wasn't a big deal at all, I thought it was just going to pop out of my skin the next morning but it was fine. Clean up is super important with microdermals, keep it free of irritants and clean. So I did that for a while and now, about two months later it looks perfect. I see no imperfections in it and I think i
t's probably my most exotic, yet favorite piercing to date. The only thing its semi permanent, but I've seen videos of people taking them out professionally and personally. It won't go back in though, remember that. So just make sure you can deal with it for life and you'll be fine. I definitely recommend microdermal teardrops, you'll probably be one of the only people in town with them and they look amazing. The only thing I have to go back to the tattoo shop for is to change it, it's difficult to change and also, from personal experience difficult to tighten. But that's my experience, now I'm planning on my cheek piercings and I definitely trust wandering canvas to do it for me, until I move I think they'll always be my piercing place. If you have any questions on microdermals feel free to ask, I love talking about this stuff haha.

Far away

Close up ehh I don't look good, but that's it.
I hope I helped anyone out who was questioning it, just make sure to ask around about tattoo shops and which is the best, stick with that one. I haven't had one single rejection yet and I'm on my 6th, just make sure it's a cleanly and approved place. Also make sure they have some experience with microdermals, you don't want a rookie to friggin screw up your face for life. And research research research! It can never hurt and if you need to ask me any questions please do. :)
Next for me? I may actually get cheek piercings, and of course I'm getting it done at wandering canvas, Chris is awesome and we share the same name hahaha but he seems cool, a lil rough but cool.
Just trust whoever pierces you. If you get someone who rushes through it or slowly puts the needle in as painfully as possible, you're screwed. So be veryyy cautious and just have fun with a new look :d
Oh beware of surface piercings definitely (I say definitely alot to stretch the point) I probably would've gotten an anti eyebrow (since I could take it out) but they reject, and it's gross to get a rejection. I don't want to go through that experience. But stick with microdermals until the world finds some safer way of piercings on the surface, I know microdermals are semi permanent but I don't think you want gross scars from surface piercings, not pretty. But I hope I've helped out. :)
