Where to start? Over the Christmas Holidays (Monday, December 27, 2004) I got my second piercing which was something I thought was completely unique and really awesome looking! I had got my belly button pierced in the usually spot three years before, but soon after I realized that everyone had it done! I was young when I got the first one done, I was around 13 years old and it was a PIAN to get my mom to let me! But I managed to bring a close older friend over whom I knew she liked who already had hers done and the next day my mom surprised me by taking me to the tattoo place! I thought it hurt really badly but everyone else said it didn't hurt at all.

But anyways, so two years after my first belly button piercing, I surfed the net in plans to get my belly button pierced on the bottom, but my mom didn't like it at all, and if she doesn't like it, I don't get it! So I searched more until I found something that I thought looked amazing and I knew it was something no one else I had ever seen had. I showed my mom a picture and asked if she liked it and she actually thought it looked really pretty! What it is is a surface piercing just below my belly button going horizontally across. So I asked her if I could get it done and she said it was ok, so as soon as she said yes I called up my boyfriend and told him he was taking me to get it done! So right away we headed over to Artistic Impressions in Welland and I showed the tattoo guy the picture, which turned out to be Mike (very nice guy!) and he took me into a back room. It was incredibly clean where I went, and I didn't have to wait for a second to get it done, he took me back right away!

My boyfriend came in with me, for emotional support and I lied back on the chair like Mike asked me. He strapped on some gloves and went through a lot of measuring and marking to make sure that the piercing would be straight and it took him a while until he finally felt it was perfect. Then he grabbed a new pair of gloves and a new package of piercing supplies. He cleaned the area that was going to be pierced and then he told me that on the count of three, I would have to take a deep breath and then relax on three, and I knew that was when he would pierce it. I was so incredibly nervous I didn't know what to do! So he counted to three and in the needle went and I thought I wasn't going to make it! It hurt so badly, and I started sliding in the chair and I grabbed my boyfriends hand so tightly he thought I was going to break it! But before I knew it, Mike was all done and the piercing was finished!

Mike cleaned me up and we laughed at my reaction and I paid for my piercing and left. It cost me $50 to get it done, and it was quite painful for about a week afterwards. I cleaned in regularly like I knew I was suppose to, but I couldn't touch the piercing at all for the first two days due to the soreness. I thought it might have only been because of the swelling, but soon I realized that the piercing was lopsided! One side was slightly higher than the other, and as soon as I noticed this I was upset. I know that Mike is a good piercer because I have seen his work on other people, so I can almost guarantee the reason its lopsided is because I moved so much when he was piercing it. So now I will probably take it out, let it re-heal and get it done again, even though I'm dreading it! But hey, it will just be another story I can put on this website! I definitely would recommend a surface piercing under your belly button to anyone who wants something different, but not too outrageous.

After I fix up this piercing, I plan on getting a tribal design on my lower back. I'm having a really hard time finding a good design though, especially because most websites have really expensive charging fees, and a lot of the tribal designs are really rough and evil looking, so if anyone who reads this happens to know of a website where I can get free pictures of lower-back tribal tattoos, please let me know by e-mailing me at holly_2001_@hotmail.com ! Thanks so much!
