Still under construction : my neck. It is a multi-level project, with some unexpected complications, but I think it will turn out really well. I must give loyal kudos to my dear Jinx, as it was his brain child. I was incredibly happy with the idea, and it's coming out beautiful thus far.

My friend, Becky, was going with me, possibly getting a piercing of her own, but she wasn't real sure until we got there. I went off after work, got some cash, washed my car, and took care of a few errands I needed to take care of before a road trip later in the day. Four o'clock comes about, and I am back at work to get Becky to go with me. We take off seperately, to meet at Visual Impact...she had to go get gas first, though. She finally got there, and we went in, to find Nick busily bumming about in wait for something to do. I got to sign the papers, give them my ID, and was informed that I'd have to wait around for Jinx to get back from....well, wherever Jinx had taken off to. Becky and I perused the wall pictures, the sample picures, talked about different piercings until in came Jinx to come pierce me. I had to fill out the side I forgot on the paper, and everything was lovely. We all went off into th e blue back room and I took my spot on the table, getting all comfy. Jinx pulled out his cool looking measuring tool, did all his measuring, pulling out jewelry, and clean needles and stuff. He marked his cross, wiped it off and marked again. This side was too high, so he marked it again. It took a bit, but he finally got it to where he was comfortable with it. My hair really caused a bit of an issue, just because it was in the way. I tried to hold it up, but it made me all lopsided, so I didn't help much :\ But we eventually got it and we were happy.
I laid down on the table, face first and realized...I had to go to the bathroom. So, I took my markings with me and went off to the bathroom. I came back, laid down again, and, well, this time I had no hand to hold, so I held onto my stress ball and squashed that flat instead. I closed my eyes and waited for him to start. He came over and got close to my ear...his soft voice "Breathe in...and out...and in...and out...and in...." and this one stung. It hurt more than the last two did. I think it was because it was so much higher than the others. But the good part is that it was a lot quicker that way, being shorter than the others, as well. Soon, it was pushed through, and I breathed a big sigh of relief. "Breathe deep now...deep breaths, it helps." he told me. And I did. Becky stood across the room from me, having watched and been all uncomfortable by the whole process. Too bad, too, because it wasn't as bad as she thought, and I think it would have been good look ing on her.
We cleaned up, even though this time, I didn't bleed. I tried to hold my hair up again, while took pictures and looked in the mirror to find out......blast! The middle barbell that Jinx *didn't* do was crooked! Like, seriously crooked. Not just that it was off, but that when you put beautifully straight work below it, it's more noticeable, and when you put beautifully straight work above it, it's way more noticeable. *sighs* It was really sad looking, but Jinx, the dear, dear friend that he is, said if I take it out and let it heal over, he would be sweet and repierce it right. Grand idea! So that is exactly what I am going to do. I took out the middle work and am letting it grow over. In a month, it will hopefully be ready for Jinx's capable hands.
So, the three of us headed out to the front desk, offering my neck for Nick's inspections. He thought it was all good, and I paid my hard earned money. I was sure to leave a tip for Jinx, and I got to feel Nick up ;) ...more that I got to feel the implants in his hand, that were really beautiful as well. Becky and I took off, leaving promises to post my props to BME for their grand works. So....props, props and more props offered for my gentlemen at Visual Impact in Elmira Heights. If you're in the area, I would entirely endorse them. Grand luck with your own piercings everyone...
