Well today I finally went and got my triangle piercing done and I love it already!

About a month ago I decided I wanted a new piercing doing to add to my little collection so I began researching on the internet. Now back in July I had a VCH (vertical clitoral hood) done and as much as I love it, it is starting to migrate out so I fancied another genital piercing. I started looking around the internet at different types of piercings and of course throughout BMEzine when I came across the triangle. I read through all of the existing stories on here and located on other websites and to be honest I was a bit optimistic about it as there were quite a few bad experiences, as well as the good.

Now I'm not saying to anyone just to rush into it but I really did research this in depth. Now I'd approached my local piercing shop (Pro Body in Barnsley) where they had done a fair few of my other piercings to see if they could do it but when I asked about the piercing they firstly didn't have a clue what I was on about but also said that it was illegal... So then I began trying to look if maybe it was just legal in the USA and not the UK but didn't find anything. Now one thing I had learnt from BMEzine was that you want to find a piercer who know's what there doing and has experience as to be fair the last place on your body you want messing up is down there.

My friends who aren't into piercings as such weren't exactly supportive and just told me to accept it wasn't going to happen which to be honest if anything made me more determined. So I went searching for different piercing shops for more advice. I'd spent a lot of time online looking for different places but no where specifically listed that they did triangle piercings. I decided to venture further a field and went to Doncaster where I knew a fair few places that did piercings. I decided to go through to Blue Banana because they've done one of my piercings before and was very professional but also they have got a very good reputation. So I went in to ask if they did female genitalia piercings- which they did, but when I asked about the triangle they didn't have a clue (again). Luckily I'd come prepared with the diagram from the BME encyclopedia but they still weren't prepared to do it incase they hit a vain and the staff there recommended a body modification shop which fair do's but there aren't any around where I live.

So back to the drawing board I went to another place near the market, "Body Art". Once inside I headed upstairs to ask about the piercings and the woman who did them kindly informed me they did everything BUT female genitalia. By this point my friends who I'd dragged with me were again going on saying how I should just give up but I knew one more place. I headed down to Lunar Tattoo. I'd been to Lunar for a couple of tattoo's doing before and my tongue web and it's a nice environment, very relaxed and the staff (Phil and Joe) are really friendly. Anyway I went in and found Phil (who'd done my tattoo's) and asked about the piercing...again he didn't know what exactly it was so I showed him the diagram and he said that he was willing to certainly try it. He explained that he'd done lots of hoods and one actually clit before which being told he'd done an actual clit gave me confidence with him. Unfortunately he couldn't do it that day and I did have to go back a week later, however in that time he thoroughly researched it.

Anyway today I went to see him and we got the piercing done no problem. He checked to make sure I was anatomically suited for the piercing (which luckily I was) and numbed me up. Joe who also works there came in to watch the procedure as she'd never seen one before and they sat discussing everything together so that Joe was aware of what was happening. Phil decided that he probably couldn't clamp me and was worried if he did of hurting me which was when I stepped in and explained that from what I'd researched septum clamps were recommended. Thankfully Joe had some ready sterilized in her studio upstairs and they fitted no problem. Phil removed my VCH barbell so he could get the clamps on securely and pieced me. The piercing itself didn't hurt too badly, not half as bad as my nipples did. Phil explained that after the piercing had settled down in a months time that I'd need to stretch it up to a 3mm (I had it pierced with a 2mm ring) to prevent it migrating.

Now my piercings about 12 hours old, I've cleaned it up and bathed it as it did bleed a little (not enough to have to wear anything though) and it does sting to be honest if I move about. So it's going to be walking like John Wayne for a few days and sleeping spread eagle but it's worth it, its looks amazing.
