I had been thinking about getting a genital piercing for a long time. I was having a hard time deciding just what to get though, because I really liked the look of the horizontal hood, but I heard that the vertical one gives much more sensation. I started doing my research on the internet, and that's when I came across the triangle piercing. The look I wanted with the most sensation! So now I knew what I wanted, it was off to look for a good piercing studio. I did not realize how hard it would be to find a female piercer! I didn't feel comfortable with a male piercer 'down there', especially since he has no idea really how those parts feel to a woman. But I found a great female piercer who answered all my pesky questions and was very very nice. I immediately got a good feeling with her, especially since she'd had piercings done there herself. I went to the studio to check it out and pick out my jewelry. I felt very comfortable there and picked out a pretty multicol or ring. We put it on hold so that my husband could come to the piercing with me. However, before that happened I became pregnant, so I had to wait and they couldn't hold my ring that long. It did give me a lot of time to really research the piercing and gather information though!
At A Glance Author Kaliana Contact Kaliana@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Chuck Studio Lucky Devil Body Piercing Location Seattle, WA Well, 3 months after my baby was born, I was finally ready! I contacted my piercer to make sure she would be available Saturday night and we (my husband and I) were off to Lucky Devil Body Piercing! We went in and she showed me all my choices for jewelry. For a triangle piercing, she said we couldn't go any smaller than a 12 gauge, so that's what I picked from. I actually had to pick out two because if I couldn't get the triangle, I was going for the hood. I picked out a titanium metallic blue ring with a matching bead. I was really hoping I was built for the triangle because I knew the horizontal hood was not near as stimulating! But I had done a lot of reading and discovered that it was not very common to be. I thought I was though, and I was right! Chuck (my piercer), told me I was built perfectly! So off went the jeans and I hopped up onto a table that resembled the ones at the gynecologist's office. I was extremely nervous since the only other piercing I ha d ever had were my ears, but Chuck did a wonderful job of cleaning and explaining everything so as to keep my mind off of things. She even answered all my husbands' questions and showed him everything about the piercing. She was really careful and took a lot of time because she wanted it to be perfect, which I was very grateful for. Then it was time for the pierce. She told me to take a deep breath in and let it out slowly and then "OUCH!" It hurt a lot, but the pain was over before I could even finish saying 'ouch!' Wow, I was pierced! The rest really didn't hurt and I was surprised that I could walk out without any pain! I didn't even really bleed. She gave me a mirror and my husband and I both had big grins on our faces. They gave me a bag with aftercare instructions, some sea salts and provon (to clean the piercing) and I paid and left the studio. It didn't hurt at all last night, but I didn't touch it.
This morning it felt okay until I had to clean it. I had some bleeding when I cleaned it, but I was told that was common. It's now just been feeling pinchy all day. Chuck said it's going to be sore for a couple of days, and I think this is the hardest part. I have a new toy that I can't play with yet!
If you live near the Seattle area, I highly recommend Chuck at Lucky Devil. She has got to be one of the nicest piercers around. She was very patient with me and let me ask all the questions I wanted, she was very careful with everything she did and she was very honest. She even gave me the pen she used so I would know they never reuse the pens. I never even thought about that before. It would be pretty bad if they used the same pen for more than one person!
Anyway, so far I haven't been able to stop grinning! I have a little secret that no one but me and my husband know about - well and all of you now. :-) Feel free to email me with any questions and I'll try to update when I've been able to have some fun with it!
