It all started a week ago when I finally got $100 that I could blow. I asked my boyfriend if he would be willing to go to the tattoo place to get my piercing, (I'd been talking about getting it for a while) and he said we could and that we wanted to do some shopping for Christmas anyway.

I walked in, and to my dismay, there were three guys standing at the counter. No where to be found was my piercer, Shirley. But I had to do it anyway. I had gotten myself mentally prepared and couldn't back down. So I told the main guy what I wanted and had to do the usual paperwork. Never did I get IDed though. The guy went back to the room and called me in there to ask me if I knew what a "triangle" piercing was. In the back of my head I was thinking "You stupid idiot. Would I come into a tattoo studio asking for a piercing if I didn't know what it was? What did you think that I just thought I'd do it because it sounded 'cool'?" But, instead I told him that, yes, I knew what it was. He then told me that it's actually two piercings if done right. WHAT!? How could it be two!? Oh well, he's the piercer! I walked back out and sit for a minute, while he got things ready, then he called me back in. I grabbed Brent's arm and made him come in there with me. He told me to have a seat in the dentist type chair, while he showed me that things were sterile, blah, blah, blah, and asked if I wanted a CBR or barbell. CBR please! He then made some smartass comment that "he couldn't do it with my pants on". I got up, stripped from the waist down and sit back down. He told me "this is where things get kind of personal, felt around, marked me with a Sharpie, then put the needle to the left side of my hood. Without any warning in went the needle and it stopped in the middle. The pain was Terrible! I wanted to scream then cry. I looked down and saw the needle end in between my labias. Hmm.... He then positioned it so it's come out the other marked side of my hood, and again came the terrible, horrible pain. He put in the CBR, had a hard time closing it, and then said I was done. I sit there a minute, trying to make the pain go away so I could walk. He asked if I was ok, and I said yes, but that was just the most painful pierci ng I had ever had. I finally got up, got dressed, paid the guy $100, and got out of there.
We got back home and it was all I could do to get out of the Jeep to go in the house. I put on some comfy clothes and just lay there, and that's pretty much all I did the next day also. The next day I took a long hot salt water bath, and got to look around at things. I noticed that the needle went in the left side of my hood, into the top of my inner labia, underneath my clit into the very tip edge of my right inner labia, and out the other side of my hood. It was also crooked. I was, to say the least, pissed.
I sit around thinking about my next move, and finally decided to call the tattoo place and see if I could talk to Shirley. Luckily, she was there. I told her that I had come in for my triangle and that some guy did it and I think it's messed up. Then I ask her if she could take a look at it, and she said sure whenever I wanted. That was at 8:00 tonight.
I got to the piercing place, again, and walked in again, but this time I saw Shirley. She told me to come back to the room and she taped this paper stuff on the chair (something the other guy didn't do), and told me she wanted to show me her book. It was a book of piercing and she showed me what a proper triangle looked like and asked me to show her what mine looked like with the picture. I did, which put a funny look on her face, and she told me that was definitely not right at all. So I undressed and sit down. She laid the chair back, something else the other guy didn't do, and had a look. It was all screwed up. She apologized and told me that she'd take it out and then I could have it repierced whenever I wanted. I told her that since I was already there, to do it now. So, she took it out, cleaned everything and set everything up to pierce me. I then filled out another form and she asked me if I still had my aftercare sheet from before. I told her the guy never gave me one. She apologized again with a pissed off look on her face. When she was finally ready, she felt around a little to find where I should properly be pierced. She'd pinch a piece of skin and asked if that felt right, then do it again to make sure. Then she told me to look at where she was pinching and see if I thought it was ok. Again I agreed. She marked me with this purple looking liquid stuff that I think was suppose to sterile too. She said she don't use markers for genital piercings. Then she clamped me, and asked again if it felt right. Yep. She asked if the guy had even clamped me, and of course the answer was no. Again, pissed face. She told me to breathe in and then slowly out and in went the needle. I was so prepared for awful terrible pain again. But it wasn't bad at all! She asked if it looked alright, and I was amazed with how right it did look! It was perfect! Again she apologized, we sit and talked for awhile about piercings and junk , and then she charged me half of the original price, which to me was fair. It was her money and she wasn't the one who messed it up in the first place. She told me if I needed anything else to call before hand and if she wasn't at the shop, she'd come there to pierce me. Again she apologized.
This time it doesn't hurt at all. I'm so glad I made that phone call! Be sure you have a piercer who you KNOW knows what they are doing. It's a piercing that can have horrible results if not done right, so I got lucky. Overall, I love the final results. It's a beautiful piercing and I hope to reap from the "benefits"!
