I had been thinking about getting my clit pierced for quite some time. I was originally going to get my 'hood' pierced, but recently found out about the 'triangle'and knew that was the piercing for me.

We have talked about getting pierced before and I know he really likes genital piercings. I have always talked about getting my tongue pierced, but never mentioned my own desire to get my genitals done. Getting my triangle pierced would be a symbol of our secrets and desires we share for one another. A pious offering of the pure in heart. An homage of sacredness and interest.
I don't know anyone who has had such a piercing and therfore had to pick a place at random. I found a place in the city where they had a qualified staff to do such a piercing.
I picked a day (a few weeks before his celebration to give adequate time for healing), prepared myself mentally and physically, shaved 'her' close and headed out for my adventure, being careful not to let my boyfriend in on where I was going. I had called ahead to make sure someone was in who was qualified for such a piercing. I also asked them if they autoclaved, did spore prints, used new needles on every client and were registered with the health department. Everything complied with my research and I was on my way. The thirty minute trip went by in a flash. I was really nervous and had butterflies in my stomach by the time I arrived.
The studio was clean and the staff professional. I didn't have to wait long and before I knew it I was nekkid and laying up on the table. I had no problem with modesty because I was so nervous. At this point I would have trusted anyone (you really have to remember to relax and make sure to ask all of the questions you rehearsed in your head earlier, because I got in there and forgot most of my questions I was going to ask). My piercer, Erica, was really kewl and informative. First step was to check me out to see if I had the right anatomy for the triangle. She found that I was and proceeded to clean the area and set the clamps. So far not any pain just some discomfort. She then marked the spots for the ring (I chose a 12 9/16g CBR w/a blue crystal bead) and said she was ready. She coached me on breathing deeply and slowly and then, WHOA...a sharp burning pain followed by a dull burning pain from the insertion of the jewlery and that was it, about 10 seconds worth of pain, all soon to be forgotten after she handed me the mirror to check out my new gem between my legs. It didn't bleed too much but I did wear a panty liner home. I felt a little dizzy and weak when I stood up but it only lasted a minute.
I walked out of there with a huge grin on my face and wondered how I was/am ever going to keep this a secret from my boyfriend (or anyone else for that matter).
I have had my piercing for a week now and love it(and it's still a secret, only 10 more days). I feel totally different about my body and love the new sensations that it gives me. Restraining from sex hasn't been that bad, since (1.)I want to give her plenty of time to heal and (2.)She's still alot sensitive down there. The aftercare, so far, has been easy. I use the Provon medicated soap in the shower, and do saline soaks twice a day with warm water and a pinch of sea salt. I have to watch that I don't cross my legs too far or wear tight clothing. Other than that so far so good.
I do have a few questions about it now after its healed for a few days and some of the swelling has gone down. The ring sits at an angle, not quite what I was expecting. Maybe, because of my anatomy and the way my nerves run, but I definately recommend checking out the markings your piercer made BEFORE he/she does the piercing so you can make sure it's right where you want. I would like to go somewhere else for a second opinion, just to ease my own mind and make sure its where it should be. Other than that I love my new 'secret' and highly recommend it.
The healing process is going just fine, granted that I don't get it re-done somewhere else. The hard part is not being able to show it off!!
