I've always had more interest in piercings and tattoos than any of the people I grew up with or surrounded myself with, but don't have a long list of modifications because my family is pretty conservative and with 2 tats and a nose ring I'm already obviously the black sheep.

Genital piercings were always, "OMG HOW COULD THEY DO THAT?!" but something about them still intrigued me. The idea of getting something in that area done rolled around in my mind for I don't know how long, and one day just decided I'd do it. Didn't know when, just knew that I would.
My friend Emily and I made plans to meet up in Nashville for a Hanson concert (don't judge me. i love them.), and since my boyfriend wasn't too keen on the idea and wouldn't go with me if I did it somewhere at home, I asked her if she'd go with me when in Nashville. She of course agreed and so I did some research and decided on a VCH because it's pretty common and I thought it was more aesthetically pleasing than an HCH. I also read a lot of good things about Icon, so the day after the concert we had brunch at The Cheesecake Factory and then went to Icon.
The receptionist girl was really nice and told me the price of the piercing and jewelry, and told me I'd be next. I saw Ian's certificates on the wall which put me at ease. I was so nervous in the 10 minutes that we waited I went to the restroom three times.
Ian came out and said, "Are you ready?" and I said "uhhhhhhh........................................I guess so". I really wasn't entirely convinced that I was. Emily and I followed him to a room, and I don't remember walking there. He said, "So I guess just hop up on the chair there". I was expecting it to be like at the gyno where I get undressed alone, but nope! So i pulled my leggings and panties off and hiked up my tunic top and got on the table and spread my legs and laid back. He told me he was just going to clean it off and do some marking. He asked me why I wanted it done and said he completely understood not wanting any more visible piercings. I never looked at the equipment and had no idea what jewelry was being used and didn't ask because I was so nervous I just didn't think about it, and I figured he'd know what would work best for me. He told me to hang my legs off the sides of the chair so I did.
He inserted the receiving tube which was very uncomfortable but not painful. He then told me to take deep breaths, and I felt a sharp pain after the second breath. I thought that was the actualy piercing and he was just doing it kinda slow, and I was thinking, "Wooow this hurts but it's not that bad." and he said, "Good.. one more deep breath" and I thought this was when he was going to put in the jewelry so I breathed in, very relaxed, expecting no pain, and with that breath came the ACTUAL piercing. My legs tried to jerk shut but didn't because the table stopped them, and I yelled "OHMYG..." and then "wow okay that scared me!" and apparently it scared Emily too because she jumped back and then I started laughing.
Ian comforted me by telling me that everyone moves, it's okay.. and screwed the ball into the barbell and that was it. I didn't look at it or anything until I got home. I thanked him, paid, left a tip, and walked out in just my tunic top. And then literally right after I drove 3 hours back to Memphis, which was uneventful. It felt kind of bruised the whole drive back but it didn't bother me.
The pain was VERY intense but VERY VERY fast. It is definitely more shock than pain, so if you're worried about the pain, don't even think about it, it will be over in half a second.
Healing was very quick and easy, I just rinsed with saline wound wash every day for a week.
It hasn't made too much of a difference stimulation wise, and I don't feel it when I walk or cross my legs unless I'm wearing reeeally tight jeans. My boyfriend thought it was weird looking at first but pays good attention to it because he knows I love it. Oral is definitely more interesting and feels better with it than without. I've changed the jewelry out to a 7/16" curved barbell which feels better and looks nicer because both the balls stick out which I think is really cute. Still can't really believe I did it! I'm planning on doing my nipples next but I'm still working up the courage for that.
