After going back and forth about this for a few years now, I finally made the decision to have it done. All the apprehensions I'd had and the reasons for them seemed miniscule upon finding out more about it. Once making the commitment I was so excited I could hardly wait to find the right shop. I had it done on the 30th of Oct. I 'love' it and now only wish I would have done it sooner!

I live in the Los Angeles area so there was no shortage of piercing/tattoo shops, some of them not far from where I live, but with no other piercings and now thinking about having the most treasured part of my anatomy skewered, after doing a lot of research I decided to go with a shop that specialized in just piercing and was APP certified. I narrowed my search to 'Anomaly' in Pasadena, which has a lot of pics/info about their shop on their website, not to mention great reviews.
After making a few phone calls and talking with them I felt very comfortable with them, especially since they were more than helpful and happy to answer any of my questions. I found out when their owner/best piercer would be there and made the 26 mile drive. All I can say is I'm glad I did the research and found this shop. Eric took his time and went over everything with me beforehand, then after sterilizing everything took me into the back and it was all over in a few minutes. For those worrying about the pain, it's a 'pinch' that will definitely make you grimace but only lasts a few seconds, and then no pain at all. It looked so erotic I found myself just trying to keep from getting aroused just looking at it as he was cleaning it all up. It is definitely one of the most exciting and erotic things I've ever done for myself. The concern I had about being able to pee standing up is not really any big deal at all. A bit of practice on directing the flow it all it takes.
I had a bit of bleeding during the day and also at night for about three days, and then it totally stopped. My piercer recommended not overdoing it with antibacterial soaps and things to clean it. He said just soak it a few times a day in warm to hot water and in the shower and leave it alone and I've followed his advice.
For a bit of an update, at five weeks it has been healing very well and I have been doing the saline soaks twice a day with no problems. I did as recommended and just left it alone, regardless of the temptation to play with it and touching it at all hours, which I have to agree made the healing process speed along much more quickly.
It was feeling very comfortable and I noticed it had also gotten to be considerably more 'loose' in the opening where it was pierced. I had already ordered my next size CBR, a 6guage at 7/8" diameter and had found myself looking at it rather frequently just with the anticipation of having it put in. The 8guage at ¾ diameter that I had put in with the initial piercing was just too tight when I was erect and was down right uncomfortable, so I decided to move up to a bigger diameter.
With everything going well at 5 weeks, I decided to try and stretch up to the 6guage. I went back to the shop in Pasadena yesterday and did it. Let me just say the stretching was probably more uncomfortable than the initial piercing, only because of the taper that was being used, and that the pain of the initial piercing lasts only for a few seconds for the most part and then it's over, where as the discomfort of the stretching lasted pretty much the entire 5-8 minutes it took to get it done. He explained that the jump from a 12guage to a 10 is not that difficult, but going from an 8guage to a 6 is a considerable one, which I had already assumed just from looking at it in comparison to what I had. He looked at my piercing and said it looked like we could probably make the stretch with no problem.
After washing his hands, getting all the tools and putting on gloves etc, as he began pushing it in, he said when it starts to hurt or burn to the point that I think he should stop to tell him. When he had the taper pushed in a little over half way I could just begin to feel some resistance but it was nothing really even worth mentioning. At about ¾ of the way through I had him stop and wait, as it was not really 'painful' but pretty tight and uncomfortable. He said with it pushed in that far I could probably make the stretch without any problems as the worst of it was nearly over. He left it sit at that point for a minute or two, it gradually stretched and the discomfort diminished totally. He told me to take a few deep breaths and with two more small pushes, each taking a minute or two, the taper was all the way in, after which he then inserted my new 6guage CBR. It looked so 'hot' with the new ring being bigger, and when I stood up for the first time I could really feel th e difference in the weight of it as opposed to the 8guage.
That was yesterday. It felt a bit tight for a few hours afterward, but not really anything in the way of being uncomfortable.
Today it feels 'great' and the new 6guage at 7/8" diameter looks really hot! It also is much more comfortable when I'm 'erect'. I'm at the point now where I'm just really starting to enjoy it and that includes all the sensation it provides. Once I did start touching and playing with it, I've barely been able to stop!
I have always enjoyed the look of the PA and all the erotic connotations it implied. For me personally, it definitely lends toward my own S&M fantasies of being submissive to another's wishes, with them using the PA (among other things) to 'control, force or persuade' me to comply, and now that I can look down and see this steel ring going through my dick it definitely gives those fantasies an electrical charge!.
I have already ordered my next CBR, a 4guage 7/8 but I am going to wait at least a few months before I even think about stretching up further as I know the 4guage will be an even bigger jump. Going up to the 4guage is my goal and where I plan on stopping, but who knows, the 2guage is starting to look pretty hot also.
Anyone that is holding back from getting it done due to worries about the initial pain of having it done or concerns about urination, don't even sweat it. I'd have it done again in a heartbeat!
