I made my way there and as I got nearer to the door I could feel my heart beating like a drum - the nerves had started to kick in but I knew that if I chickened out then I'd never get it another chance to get it done.
Once inside I had a quick chat with the piercer about the procedure and my mind was put at ease very quickly. The shop was full of women getting booked in for Tattoos and belly piercings so I was discreetly led to a room at the back whilst the preparations were made. The piercer carefully checked me over and got the equipment ready. I was bracing myself for a lot of pain, however he produced the finest gauge needle that I'd ever seen and started to give me a local. Now this was something that I hadn't expected. He said that I'd feel a small scratch. In total he injected the anaesthetic in four places including down inside the urethra. I was expecting to hit the roof however it was remarkably painless.
All I had to do was wait for 2 or 3 minutes for things to numb up and then the P.A. would finally go ahead.
I cracked a funny (probably out of nerves!) by saying that it wasn't normally that small and it must have shrunk by fright! He came back quick as a flash with "Don't worry mate, I don't think that you need to impress me!" We had a giggle and then after a quick check to see how things were we were ready to begin with the P.A.
"You might feel a small scratch again" was his final words as he pierced me and slipped the ring in. I didn't feel a thing, only a small tug and then it was done. I was impressed to say the least. No jumping around, no hanging off the ceiling by my fingernails, no wailing like a banshee. There was no pain whatsoever and I was done and dusted within 5 minutes.
I was given some tissue to wrap around the end of my penis just in case there was any bleeding and given advice on aftercare and timescales for healing and resuming sexual activity and I was free to leave.
I walked back out of the shop and made my way back to the car with what must have appeared to be a very smug grin on my face. This changed very quickly as soon as I realised that I'd now have to face my wife with my news.
Healing was very quick. There were times when peeing was painful however this was my own fault for not drinking enough water and as urine is acidic, the more dehydrated you are the stronger it is.
Learning to pee again has been interesting to say the least. If I'm on my own then sitting down is the norm now, however a great deal of concentration is required to pee standing up. At public urinals, it's not the best way to make an acquaintance by peeing sideways down their leg!
I let the piercing heal for around a week before any sexual activity took place between my wife and I and all I can say on that score is "Bloody Hell!" It was a strange but very pleasurable experience the first time we made love with it. She said that she couldn't really feel any difference (which was a little disappointing to be honest) but for me the change was dramatic and my orgasm was much more intense.
The ring measured 2.4mm in thickness and I was advised by my piercer that I may want to increase this when the piercing had healed as it should increase the sexual stimulation. This I have now done by upgrading to a 3.2mm ring. It went in very easily without further pain. I would like to increase the thickness of the ring once more but I will wait until it's stretched a bit more.
At this moment in time, due to 'time of the month functions' it hasn't been put to the test, however I'm confident that things can only get better.
So overall my ratings are thus;
For - I like the look and feel of the P.A. and knowing that "I've got a secret!"
Against - Learning how to pee again!
