Artist Brandon? I think that was his name....
Studio Somewhere in the Village
Location New York City, Greenwich Village
I'd been toying with the idea of a PA since I Was 18 but really didn't know, since it was piercing such a sensitive area. I'd heard about it ,read a little but didn't really think I would go get one.

So now I'm 22, yeah and my lady and I were having a conversation about markings and such. Something for her and I to share, private, intimate that we know we have for the other person. We thought about tattoos and figured maybe a piercing was better. A little more general, perhaps get inked later.

She'd told me she thought of getting a hood piercing for a while but never got around to it, and didn't really have a reason to. So I replied I'd thought of getting a PA, which I had, and didn't really have a reason to, either. We decided ultimately that a piercing was the way to go, since we wanted them anyway.

So we checked around, looking for places in our local areas and finally found one we both liked. I called mine (we don't live close enough to get them at the same place) and she called/went in to hers. The one I called didn't have the piercer in, so I decided to call another one. Their piercer was out for a week so I put it on hold, since i was going away for the weekend. (I checked out places near the hotel I was staying at for that weekend but there weren't any places available.)

I get back on a Sunday, mid-day and talk to her again. Her piercing was set for that afternoon and I still didn't have a place. Now I'm not one to wait, and knowing she was going off to get hers made me want to get mine even more. Finally unwilling to wait any longer, I took the train to the Village from where I am in Brooklyn. I arrived on West 4th street, and proceeded to walk.

There are lots of shops in the Village as those of you in NYC or who've come here to get inked or pierced well know. I liked the Village, I'm familiar with its small little shops selling bongs and hookahs, sex toys and jewelry. I found this little shop that looked fairly clean on the inside, and I paced for a bit, trying to gather the courage to actually go inside.

Finally saying "This is it just go dammit!" I walked in and asked about a PA. He told me pricing and such and I gawked a bit (it was a lot more expensive than you could find in Brooklyn or elsewhere) and walked around for a minute. I didn't have patience, the shop was clean including the back area where they did the tattoos and piercings, so I said OK, and paid the man.

The guy called to the back "Hey. Brandon. Come here for a sec" This tall, thin guy comes out, hair in dreds with big plugs in his ears. He walked up and said hi, the guy behind the counter tells him "This guy's gonna get a PA, alright?" and takes a captive bead ring out of the drawer. I didn't really think about talking about gauges or jewelry right now-I was too busy thinking about whether it would hurt and remind myself the pain was only minor.

---I'm interrupting my story for a minute. If you go to get a PA, please, please talk to your piercer about jewelry, gauges and all that. Don't just let the piercer talk you into, or decide for you. It's going on your body, not theirs and it's important for you to make the decision with them. OK, back to the story---

So Brandon says "OK, let's go" and proceeds to walk with me into the back. We're not very chatty and he motions to a curtained room with a chair. It's clean, white and looks sort of like a medical exam room. "Good" I thought, "just how it should look". "Hey lemme go get the stuff. Sit there" he motions to the chair and walks out behind the curtain. I'm feeling really, really nervous, my stomach's a bit knotted and I sit down.

"OK...I need to get something else I forgot. Sorry, hold on." Brandon walks out and comes back in with some more supplies. "Sorry about that, I made the whole in the napkin on the wrong end..Alright, now I need you to take down your pants. And, y'know. Whip it out." I take down my pants, remove my cock from the hole in my boxers and sit down. "OK, let's put on some death metal rock for this." I smiled, but really he put on something more poppy and quiet. Which is fine too, whatever works you know? Washing his hands, he put on new gloves, and started to do the prep work.

"So did you lose a bet?" I laughed "No, I wanted this." He cleans me off, Puts something cold on the area and takes the receiving tube in his hand. "This is the receiving tube. When I put the needle in it's going to catch it and make sure that I don't pierce anywhere that doesn't need to get stuck." "Yeah, that would be bad" I say. He says" I'm gonna put it into the urethral opening. It's going to feel uncomfortable and cold but I can't do anything about that. Just lay back and relax, ok?" I nodded and said "yeah, OK." He puts it in and it's cold, then burns a little and is kind of itchy. I don't squirm as he takes the needle out of its packaging. OK. So this is going to pinch a little. Do you have a preference for side?" "NO" "OK, well lay back and when I tell you to inhale, do it." I nod again and lay back, closing my eyes and relaxing.

"Inhale" I inhale and feel the needle stick, I gasp for a second, and I calmed myself down. I inhaled and gasped, my hands gripping the chair tightly as I feel the needle go in "Exhale" I breathe out and the needle's in. "There." he said. "All don?" "No" Brandon replies. "I just put the needle in, now I have to put the jewelry" "OH, I say, since I'd gotten up to look at my cock, which now had this needle running through it. "Would you look at that?" I say, and lay back down. I felt some slight movement as he pushed in the captive bead ring and closed

"OK, all done. DO you want me to glove it? It's going to bleed" He said. He spoke to me about aftercare, I thanked him and gave him tip. I walked out into the night with the PA in, happy.

From what I'd read sea salt works, he didnt mention that. SO i'll take a moment and tell all you people out there considering getting a PA, to use a sea salt soak. Either mix a whole big batch or make some as you use it, but just please use a soak. I don't know the exact measure, I just know if it tastes a little salty that's good, overly salty like the ocean and it's too much (yes i did it by taste. The tongue is a very good test for this, you know. Just don't drink from the same cup or whatever you use to soak the piercing!) The first time I peed it bled, and it burned too. After that no more burning but some white discharge from the whole, which is normal with a piercing. Just not yellow. Yellow's not normal!

The 14g captive bead they put in was uncomfortable so I shopped around for a 12 which was very pricey. It was nice, this little curved barbell, but too small for me. I bought some nice stuff online, longer in a bigger gauge.

I went straight to a 10g the week after, and impatient me decided to force the 8 a half hour later. That was stupid and frankly I don't recommend that to anyone. It was a bit painful and the white discharge was there for a few days while it healed again. Gauge slowly, people!

It's now going on 4 weeks since the PA, and I've gauged it to a 6. That's not the best idea, I know but I wasn't patient and the 14-12 gauges weren't particularly comfortable for me to use. The 8 I had was nice but the barbell was too long. I personally have a 6g 3/4 inch curved barbell and that suits me just fine. Not too long, and looks fantastic. Forget about the feeling, which is incredible. I can't wait until I see my lady in a week, and i get to try out my PA on her.

Definitely recommend it, the pain was abut a 3-4. Just a slight pinch, really and for that little pain down there it's totally worth it, it feels and looks fantastic.
