I'm 56 years old and having a piercing never crossed my mind until reading peoples experiences on BME. They got me interested and one Sunday I thought I might try one if the chance ever occurred. On the Monday I finished work earlier than expected so decided to have a look at a local piercing studio I found on the WWW. It was Ozone in Preston Lancashire. I walked past, felt a bit of a idiot so had a pint at the pub a few doors away. With a bit of courage inside me I walked back, went in and asked about having a PA, 10 minutes later I walked out the proud owner of a ring through my dick.

There was a bit of a shock when the needle went in but it was too quick to say I experienced any pain. I grunted and shot up but by then it was done and I felt nothing. He then said he was going to put the ring in but apart from the feeling of him messing around my dick I felt nothing again. The piercer was surprised there was no blood; apparently it's common to get quite a lot. By the time I got home there were a few spots of blood on the tissue he wrapped it in, and a little trickled out with my first piss. After that - no more blood at all.
I normally swim Monday evening but was a worried about going to the baths having just had a hole put in me. I finally decided to rub antibacterial soap round my dick and put a condom on with a rubber band round to make it a little more water tight. It worked a treat so I did the same thing every time I went to the baths for the first two weeks. I did the washing and saline soaks when I got the chance but not very religiously, that stopped after two weeks as well. Contrary to all the advice I did rub antiseptic cream on the ring regularly, I wanted a little lubrication and it was the best solution I could think of. One bit of advice I read about was to let fresh air get to it as often as possible. Well I did just that and nearly got caught a couple of times.
There was a little discomfort occasionally when the ring caught in my undies but a little adjustment by putting my hand down the front of my trousers sorted that out. It did sting a little occasionally when taking a pee but certainly not all the time. After swimming I took a shower and peed in the condom while I was wearing it, then let my dick soak in the pee for a few minutes. Don't know what good it did but it was a nice feeling. All things considered I think I had a very trouble free and successful piercing and I'm very proud of it. The erotic side of knowing what you have in your trousers is fantastic.
The piercer put a 2.4mm by 22mm (10 ga I think) BCR in. I managed to put 3.2 mm by 19mm BCR in after the first month. With a little lube it slipped in with no trouble at all. I then bought a 4mm by 19mm and a 5mm by 19mm curved barbell. I chose the barbells because they were a little cheaper than the BCRs and wasn't expecting to be wearing them for very long. So a further two weeks later I tried to put the 4mm by 19mm curved bar in but it wouldn't go in no matter how much lube I used. I tried again the following weekend and surprisingly it slipped in with no difficulty. The 5mm is next but I'll leave it another couple of weeks. I've thought of using a taper but not sure how to keep it in place for long enough to do the job. None of the size increases gave me any discomfort; if I felt anything it was an exquisite itch which was a lovely feeling. Eventually I'm aiming for a 9mm (00 ga). Then I'll get myself a prince's wand.
You may have worked out that it's almost two months since I had it done. The amazing feeling of having a bit of metal in the end of dick is something I wouldn't want to be without and I'd recommend it to anyone. Sex isn't that much different but it adds a little extra interest for your partner. I haven't yet fully explored the possibilities of erotic play involving various bits of jewellery one can wear but that's just for me to look forward to.
