I also have a few more experiences on BME, my septum experience, my lobes experience and my conch experience (featured, also done by Nicky too).

Where to start, well for a while now I've been interested in a couple of surgical mods (I'm going somewhere with this), those being a tongue split and a meatotomy, obviously to avoid re-growth and scar tissue it's advisable to always split back to a healed piercing, this is where my PA comes into play; I had seen a few meatotomys in the "flesh" so far, one being Brian's which seemed so natural and well done, and from everyone I had talked to a PA was always the first step in obtaining a proper and straight meatotomy.

Anyway, also having talked to a few pro's on the subject of surgical mods I was advised to a have a PA at at least 6mm before attempting the split, so after doing some further research on BME and a few other sites (Perforations) about procedure and stretching I spoke to Nikki down at my local studio, the London Piercing Clinic, and asked how large it could be done to begin with and how much it would cost, she quoted me £45 to have it done at 4mm (about 6-7ga), which was actually £10 cheaper from what they have on their price list. It was a simple question of piercing at 3.2mm (8ga) and then simply stretching it to 4mm (about 6-7ga) right after.

She asked what kind of initial jewellery I wanted initially and I just decided to go with a bcr, she checked to see whether they had any but they didn't have any in titanium. Nikki asked whether I had any problems with healing a piercing with stainless steel, to which I replied no, you see the LPC have a policy about piercing only with titanium or ptfe (Which are hypoallergenic), due to the fact that a lot of people have problems with stainless steel, but seeing as I was ok with healing a piercing with it she was ok with using stainless steel but if I wanted they could get a 4mm titanium bcr in for me (at no extra cost might I add). But I didn't require one so no hassle there.

About a week later (on monday 13/05/2002) I called up Nikki to see if she could do my pa that day, and she said that there wasn't any problem at all, so I said "I'll be down in an hour or so", after having some food and stopping at a cashpoint to pick up the money and buy some o-rings (which I lost) I popped into the studio and Nicky wasn't there (well I did arrive about 45 minutes after I said I would), but Steve was there happily tattooing away and said that Nicky would be back soon. So I waited around for a while and she turned up in about 15 minutes.

Let me stress that this is the first piercing I've ever been even slightly nervous about! But knowing Nicky as a friend and having been pierced by her before I felt more at ease. She told me to walk on into the piercing studio where she put on some gloves, lay down some paper towel from the dispenser and got out the jewellery, needle, taper and circlet pliers, all sterile and in their autoclaved packets (full vacuum autoclaved, higher standard than hospitals!). The bcr was 4mm by 16mm, which she though might be a little too tight when I had an erection but that I should be ok with but if I were to have any problems with it that I should call the studio and they would get a larger internal diameter bcr in for me very quickly (at no extra charge). Anyway, she put down some more paper towel on the piercing table thingy and told me pull down my trousers and my pants and to lie face up on the table. She cleaned the area with a chemical agent I believe and asked me which way my dick usually hanged, well it usually hung straight down to which side of the frenum to pierce was up to her as it made no real difference to me.

She changed her gloves again and got the needle out of its packet, now this was a pretty big needle, I've only been pierced with a 1.6mm (14ga) and a 2.5mm (10ga) needle's before so this was going to be a new experience I wouldn't forget! She told me to relax while she slid the needle into my urethra; she was very gentle and didn't scratch my urethra at all, guess I also owe that to sounding. Anyway, she told to start taking deep breaths, on my second or third exhalation she put the needle through, I didn't feel much as it basically slid right through my urethral tissue and all I did feel was a small sharp pinch. The endorphins kicked in and I wasn't too sidetracked by them, anyway she let me relax before stretching it up to 4mm, I looked at my dick and it look so amusing with such a large needle sticking out of it, she did the piercing to the right side of my frenum (which I had pierced myself might I add) and it looked absolutely awesome. I told her I was ready for the str etch and she cleaned up the small amount of blood from the hole with some paper towel and threw it in the bin with the biohazard and warning signs on it. I laid back down again and she took the taper out of its packet and proceeded to follow it through after the needle, this wasn't a too unpleasant experience, but then she told me to start taking deep breaths again so I did and once again on the exhalation she slid the taper all the way through, this was a pretty tight pinching sensation which although wasn't too pleasant it wasn't too bad either.

She then took the jewellery out of it's packet a followed it through after the taper, it went in perfectly and i hardly felt a thing. I sat up and looked at it and felt so proud of my first proper genital piercing. Now came the glove treatment, "everyone gets it" said Nicky, she took a sterile glove out of the gloves box and put it around my penis and used some micro pore tape to make it stick to my penis and then talked me through all the bleeding and soreness and aftercare routine which I already knew. After that I stood up and laughed when I saw the hand shape hanging off my penis, Nicky told me it was pretty standard of all guys to laugh at it, I certainly did! By now the pain had subsided, but I guess that was part due to the endorphins kicking in once again. I coughed up the £45 and then Nicky gave me a further £5 discount, so I ended up paying £10 per 1mm, if you want to see it that way.

I stayed at the studio for a while but I had to take a piss so I popped over to the pub and managed to piss out the side of the glove with no mess whatsoever. I managed to piss in a straight enough line with minimal distortion and no bleeding had occurred either. I popped back to the studio and stayed till closing time and Patrick popped around, we chatted about some stuff and then we all left.

Later that night in the shower I wet the micro pore tape and it simply peeled off easily, there had been no bleeding (due to the tapering) but later that night I went to sleep (after having stuffed my boxer shorts with tissue paper) and woke up with bloody boxer shorts, not having had any dark colour boxer shorts I just used my white ones, big mistake, the blood even went onto the bed sheets.
The bleeding obviously happened when I got an erection during the night, this happened while I was at work the following day, I did manage to get home and relax and stop the bleeding. This process finally stopped on Thursday, but by then I had gone through quite a few bed sheets and pairs of underwear! I really should have planned that part ahead though.

I know that after getting a genital piercing one usually shouldn't have sex at all for at least a couple of weeks but on Friday I hooked up and being drunk all common sense went straight out of the window and I had some sex, needless to say I used a condom and I was sore after about 20 minutes. So drunk, tired and high I fell asleep and woke up with a pretty nasty headache, which was sorted out with some aspirin, I later gave sex another try, this time with some KY which helped a lot and the PA was really giving off some good vibes but then it got sore again and turned into a bit of an anti-climax. So maybe leaving sex for another week would have been VERY appropriate!

So I'm looking forward to healing this piercing and putting it to use effectively, I think it should stretch pretty easily from all the use it's going to be getting, but I will be leaving it for a while before I approach getting a meatotomy.

So far it's been a unique experience and it's provided me with more understanding of genital piercings than before, maybe one day I'll turn it into a apadravya and get an ampallang, but all in due time. For I am still pretty young and I have a lifetime ahead of me.
