I had been planning to get a Prince Albert for a long time. I was browsing the web the first time I saw a picture of one, and I was amazed. What could possibly possess someone to pierce the most intimate region of their body, and so obviously? As I surfed the net and (eventually) came across BME, I struck the goldmine of experiences and pictures of PA's. I had heard different stories about PA's - that they make sex better, that they excite the other partner, and more, but I loved it simply for the asthetic appeal.

I called up my boyfriend and told him over the phone that I thought I would pop over to the piercing studio after work and get pierced. Needless to say he was more than a little surprised. After some convincing on several different occasions, he said it would be okay if I got pierced. (Mainly he was concerned about the 3 weeks of having to play nicely with my 'member').
So after work, I drug my best friend with me to Body Mod's. Surprisingly I was pretty calm when I went up to the counter. "I'd like to get a Prince Albert" I said. Of course that was no big deal to them. They had me fill out the paperwork and said it would be a few minutes while they prepared everything.
A few minutes later, Monty called me into the back room and went through the standard gamut of questions - why I wanted one, what I knew about the procedure, etc. He asked my to drop my pants so he could begin the procedure. Without a single thought or but of shyness, I dropped my pants and let it all hang out. As usual, in light of a slightly cold room and a somewhat unnerving situation, Mr. Happy was just a bit upset with me. After all, he was about to get a piece of sharp metal put through him!
Monty cleaned the area with some alcohol and iodine, and marked the piercing point with a pen. It looked fine to me, and he explained that the reason he pierces slightly off to the side is because the flesh below the head of the penis and right in the middle to fibrous, and it would be very hard and painful to try and pierce through it. He pierced just to the side of it, which was fine with me.
After he marked the spot, he took some topical anasthetic (like the use in the dentist office before they give you a shot) and he put some down my urethra, and on the spot he marked under the head of my penis. He let is sit for a little but making small talk with me. I don't remember anything he said.
When he thought everything should be good and numb, he removed the qtip and inserted the receiving tube with a little lubricant. He lined everything up, and as much as I wanted to watch, I turned my head (what a wimp!). He had me breathe and then, what? That's it? It's all over? I barely felt a little pinch! One swift move of the needle and one swift move of the jewelry and I was finished! He adjusted the two ends of the ring, inserted them into the bead, and said that I was good to go! So, I pulled up my pants, walked out of the room, paid the lady and tipped Monty, and I was on my way. My friend hadn't even had time to finish his cigarette.
At first I had a few drops of blood, and that was mainly it. A few times I aggrivated the piercing during the first couple of days, and it bled, but nothing that I piece of gauze couldn't handle. It was very sensitive at first, too. I had to make sure and wear snug underwear for the first week so that it wouldn't move around and rub against the piercing.
It is now 3 weeks later and I am anxiously awaiting my new 10g curved barbell to arrive in the mail. I don't really like the CBR's that Monty installed when I got pierced, although it is definitely better to have a CBR for your initial piercing so that you don't have to worry about beads falling out and losing your jewelry in the beginning.
I have had plenty of time to play with my new toy, and boy do I love it! It has added a whole lot of fun to sex, with and without my partner! It is also very nice to look at. Every time I look down in the shower I am amazed that I actually went through with it.
It has actually been a big hit amongst my friends, too. They have aptly nicknamed me "Albert" - which is kind of diffucult to explain when someone comes up to me for the first time and says "Hi, Albert". Sometimes I just tell them it is better that they do not know.
If you are in the Omaha area, I would highly recommend Monty at Body Mods - they have a nice, clean facility, and are very courteous and helpful. And if you are contemplating a PA, go for it! It's no big deal, I barely felt a thing!
