Does it hurt?

In a word, Yes.

That was the question I needed answering before finally going ahead with having an Albert, I eventually found the answer hidden deep within another letter.

My story, well, I have recently met a new partner who just happened to mention that one of her friends fella's had a pierced dick and that this friend found it very stimulating, for this reason my partner suggested that I could have it done. My initial reaction was NO WAY; I'm not having a needle of any sort being pushed through my dick, not even for her. It had been painful enough when I had to have a vasectomy done the second time, but I could see this being even worse.

That was nearly a year ago and as that year has progressed the idea has manifested itself to the point, that two weeks ago my partner went away for a months holiday. So I decided that if I was going to have it done then this would be about the best time to go for it, "I'll be a man, it can't hurt too much, can it?" I had visited the BME site a few times and the one thing I had read, was that you need to be a bit careful when it comes to having sex and with the other half being away that didn't matter.

I looked in the phone book and found two that advertised body piercing in my area, one I new had a good reputation for tattoos so went in to see them. Unfortunately they had run out of needles. Three days later they still hadn't got any, so I decided that if I was going to have it done it had to be now or I was likely to bottle it. I rang the other place that was advertising, "The Two Ronnies" in York, the guy I spoke to was very reassuring, saying that there really was nothing to worry about and that when I go in he would explain in detail the procedure.
He did, we sat down and he spent the next 5 – 10 minutes explaining what he was going to do and how etc, then out came the needle, oh my god it was huge. Well I thought so anyway, I sat down dick in hand and told him to do it. Think my dick had other plans as it was trying to shrink itself back inside, out of the way.

That's when you know pain, pushing that needle though, I just wanted it to stop, and it did, it was through and that was the end of the real pain, yes it still feels uncomfortable but not pain. Even when he was sorting out the ring and pulling the needle back out, it was still only uncomfortable. He did say that there were two types of blokes when it came to piercing, those that bleed and those that don't. I was one of those that did, but it soon stops so don't panic if you do bleed, it will stop within a few minutes. Just to prove that the needle would not be used again he then proceeded to bend it in half.

Well that was 12 days ago and whist it was a little uncomfortable for the first week, its nothing you cant live with. I found I was very aware of it, making sure I didn't pull or shake my dick to hard, making sure I placed it carefully back in my pants after having a pee. Oh! Point to remember on that, you now have two holes and believe me it will catch you out; piss WILL find its way out of the new hole.

Cleaning it. I used salt in a cup and sat with my dick dangling in it or a bath with lots of salt in it. One thing the guy that done it said was not to worry about peeing and then having to clean it as the best thing to clean it was your own piss. While its soaking, move the ring, it'll sting a bit to start with but its nothing. If you're going to have sex, wear a condom until it's healed properly.
As for me, well my partner isn't back from her holiday yet so she still has the surprise to come, so to speak.
Would I do it again? I probably would. Would I recommend it to anyone? So far, yes, but I haven't tried having sex yet, another two weeks before that happens

So if you're thinking about it, do it now while its in you mind to do so, wait and chances are you never will. I found I just wanted to tell someone, to be proud of having it done, to be different and when the occasion arises I will just drop it into the conversation, could be interesting to see the reactions.
