Prior to getting my Prince Albert, my only other piercing experiences have been my ear and a nipple ring. A few years ago I had my right nipple pierced. It has since migrated down a bit, from stretching and wearing heavy jewelry, so I no longer wear a nipple ring.

After reading what seemed like a few hundred stories about men getting PA's, I decided the time had come for me. First I went to a couple of local shops to talk to the piercer about getting a PA. The first said he had done four or five and wasn't really in to it. NEXT shop... very nice guy, very little experience. Time to let my fingers do the walking. I called a couple more local shops to talk about the procedure, prices, what size jewelry they would use, etc. I finally picked one out. Robbie at Exile Tattoo and Body Art. He had lots of experience, the right jewelry, good sanitation practices and a private room! I made my appointment for that afternoon.
I got off work at 3PM and headed directly to the shop. I was extremely nervous. When I got there, I was the only customer, which helped a little. We did the paperwork and went into the piercing room. Robbie told me to drop my drawers and lay down on the padded table. He set about marking and measuring and small talking. He wanted me to get an erection so he could size the ring correctly. I felt, at that point, that I was doing well just to maintain and "outty" as opposed to an "inny", considering the circumstances, so no wood for Robbie! Not even with the help of his well used but very hot porn mags! I would have to rely on his professional opinion. He actually chose a large ring, one inch diameter, so it would be easy to clean.
So we proceed. In slides the receiving tube. I've read several accounts that said inserting the tube was unpleasant, but I didn't mind it at all, except that it meant my penis was about to get a hole punched through it! It was just a little pressure because it is pretty good sized, but really felt kind of good. You just have to be totally into the experience and keep your mind open – then it really doesn't hurt.
The Robbie asked if I was ready and I said "Sure". I felt sort of a pinch on my cock and then he said he was done! I could NOT believe it. I had also been worried about the pain associated with pulling the needle and inserting the new jewelry – but there was none. I was starring down at a beautiful 12 gauge ring of stainless steel hanging from the end of my dick. I was part of "The Club"! All that worrying about the procedure was really unnecessary and pointless, but probably unavoidable.
I only bleed a few drops there at the shop. I pulled up my carefully pre-selected dark, snug fitting underwear and my pants, paid Robbie and tipped twenty percent, and drove home.
When I got home it was time for my first trip to the bathroom. Again – scary! I sat down and let it go. There was a little blood mixed in with the urine and maybe a tiny little sting that first time – none since. What a relief, again! The night I slept in tight underwear. There was quite a bit of bleeding that night, but only that night. I threw the sheets and undies in the washer right away and that was that. The ONLY pain I've had is from the healing "crusties" rotating into the piercing.
My "after-care" instructions are to wash with anti-bacterial liquid soap twice a day. That's it. After the nipple piercing experience I was pretty hesitant to rotate the ring that first time in the shower, but it was fine. The shower water cleaned off the external crusties, and I lathered up the ring and it slid around perfectly.
After only two weeks, I put in a new ring, stretching easily from a 12 gauge CBR to a 10 gauge CBB. Again, two weeks later, I popped in a larger ring, an 8 gauge CBB. This one wasn't as easy, so I will wait a little longer to go to a 6 gauge I think. But so far I do think that the thicker the jewelry, the better it feels. I plan on going to at least a 4 gauge eventually.
Just for the record – I don't have to sit down to pee. I am getting really good and rotating the end of my dick 180 degrees and aiming carefully. Please don't let the stories of having to sit to pee dissuade anyone from getting a Prince Albert.
Overall, it has been an absolutely wonderful and amazing experience. I would whole-heartedly encourage any man to get a Prince Albert. It looks incredible and feels even better! The only down side is that it not a piercing that you can easily show off! That's why I sent my photos to BMEzine today too!
