So there I sat with my pants around my ankles for the second time in front of the guy who would know me in a way most guys would never get to know me. I decided that I wanted to get my p.a. done. And this wasn't my first time getting stabbed with a hollow needle. Im not going to go into the details of how I got into piercing's or when I first started caring about it, because if your anything like me you shouldn't even give a shit about the when's and the why's. But I've done this before and im familiar with the procedure. I currently have two lip piercings at 12g on both sides of my lip, ears stretched to ½ inch, a 12 g bridge and a 12 g frenum. All and all it still wasn't enough and I wanted more holes.

So I thought that I might as well start small and just go with a p.a. and then decide from there. I was at Body Mod in Riverside California, which is where I've gotten all my holes, with a couple good friends of mine who went to go see Wes, who has done all of my holes to date. We went down to have a piercing party and I was planning on just doing a second rung that would eventually become a frenum ladder. When my best friend told me he was getting his cheeks pierced I decided I wanted to do my p.a. because my first frenum was nothing, I had to go the next step up. I wasn't expecting much since none of my other piercings constituted what I would consider "pain", and if your considering getting any of my previous piercings done, I recommend doing it since the pain is minimal and its worth it in the long run.
So there we were sitting in Body Mod, waiting for Wes to finish whoever he was piercing at the moment, and I wasn't nervous. The procedure becomes somewhat routine after maybe two times of being on the receiving end of the needle and I knew what to expect, although the thought of that receiving tube being shoved in my urethra left little to be desired. But that didn't matter at that point and it wasn't enough of a reason for me not to do it.
Wes was done with his previous customer and I was up to bat. I couldn't wait through two of my friends getting new holes, I was really anxious to get it done at this point so I now return to where I left off with this story back at my first sentence.
I waited with Wes while he prepared his things and we shot the shit for a few minutes and then it was down with the pants and up on the table. I decided on a 10 g ring and wasn't expecting much. Now I always like to think about how a piercer is like a doctor and a piercer does not look at a customer in any judgmental manner, he/she is providing a service and that's all. But it is hard to ignore that when im laying half naked with my junk flappin' in the wind. It wasn't bad really, and he made it much more relaxing as we talked about shows we had then recently gone to. With that all been said i'll get to the point.
He cleaned me up, with what I don't know because I was concentrating on the ceiling, mostly lots of swabbing and prodding. He made the marks, and I gave the o.k. And he then proceeded to insert the receiving tube, although I expected worse, this was just an all around weird feeling. It didn't hurt but it stung, the only other feeling I could compare it with is having cold lubricated steel shoved up your urethra, so for those of you looking for an accurate analogy all I can say is go do it.
Once that was done I thought it was all down hill from there, but I was wrong...oh so wrong. He told me to take a deep breath and as I exhaled I got all my moneys worth. Ive heard and read that this one isn't very painful, but it hurt pretty bad which really surprised me since nothing else I had done hurt at all in the slightest. But it was completely bearable. I think I moaned and my back arched up off the table. But don't let that discourage you, the pain lasted only a second. Then the blood came followed by that wonderful euphoric reaction you get only from blunt trauma on living tissue.Soon enough I had the jewelry inserted and was just another happy customer with a glove taped to his penis.
He went through the aftercare briefly since he knew that I was aware of how to care for this type of piercing. Salt soaks and routine cleanings throughout the day. So all in all it was worth it, and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind sitting down to piss. But if your that worried about standing up to piss rather than have the piercing itself, than you shouldn't pierce it in the first place. It's been an easy healing process so far; just don't have sex for a couple weeks. They tell you not to for a reason and I figured out why. It bled a bit for the following day or two after the initial piercing, although I was fortunate enough to not wake up to a blood soaked mattress. Just keep it clean and try not to sleep on your stomach or run for an extended period of time and you'll be fine.
After I was pierced my best friend was up and he had his cheeks done. And then another friend of mine had her ears repierced with a 10 g and she passed out. I was surprised that she bled so much, I didn't think my experience was so bad anymore.
I don't know if my experience has been helpful or was even comprehensive but I thought I would add my 2 cents. For the future, im planning on finishing at least a frenum ladder of three on the underside, and soon ill start on a few dydodes. And if I ever feel up to it maybe ill follow through with an apradrayva.
