It took a while to have it done, reading some letters written by those lucky ones before me, talking with those who had been to the Patrick Bear Studio and swore by it, especially by a gentleman W/we talked to while visiting the Wet Spot, etc. My Mistress was impressed by what She had heard and gave the green light and W/we planned for that special day. After setting up an appointment, the day finally arrived. Walking into the studio W/we met Amber, who has the greatest attitude about her job. She has the experience and training, W/we assumed from the Master himself, who Amber told U/us that he died a day before the big quake here in Seattle! Rest easy Dear Al! Anyway, Amber gave U/us time to read over all the info, how to care afterwards as well as selecting the appropriate jewelry for the occasion. This P.A. is to symbolize my eternal devotion to my Love, my Mistress, my Wife! To be "branded" for all time, to wear it proudly for Her is just another way to say I Love You! With the selection made, a simple loop 10 gauge, W/we headed off to the room! As others have testified before me, this room rivaled that of a hospital. Sanitation was the rule, absolutely! As W/we sat there awaiting that golden moment, Amber went about explaining the procedure from a to z. Of how to wrap myself up while the bleeding ebbed, to how to do the salt soaks - so important in the healing, and finally the do's and don'ts about sanitation and the absence of bodily fluid exchanges... "Oh, my Mistress remarked!" Everything brought forth to the tray was clean, appropriate for the task, and explained as it was laid next to the tool it followed. Of course, one of the important things on my mind was , " What about the anesthesia!" Amber shot back, "I don't use any, don't believe in it, and anyone who uses it, in my opinion is not a professional!" Of course my eyes started to widen a bit, but Amber continued..."When one goes making holes, it is best to make as few as necessary! Poking a needle in there to deaden the pain, that would only last for a second anyway, would be causing another risk, because it was another hole and another chance at introducing infection, and the fluid of the anesthesia would puff up the tissues making the hole selection much more difficult." Amber's bedside manner was professional, disarming, and calming, as much to my Mistress as myself. The time had come! "Slip those trousers down, my boy and have a lie down on the bed", she commanded. And the task and time was at hand. I was very calm, no second thoughts ever trickled into my head as she placed a surgeon's sheet over me except for little james hanging out there! After taking a look, she decided to go up to the next size ring. During the time she was setting up, she must have pulled off her latex gloves and replaced them with clean ones at least seven times... Anytime she touched anything other than me, those gloves would come off and be tossed for fresh ones! Very impressive indeed! Very safe and comforting to U/us both!

When you have exhaled is when I will do it, because it lessens the pain effect on some people." O.K., I was ready, my Love was sitting on above me head, as i was reclined on the operating bed. My Love comforted me and i became more concerned for Her than myself as Amber said she had found the spot and to take that big inhale right now. My eyes widened as my lungs filled with air and just as i began to exhale, Amber made her move and within a second I felt it go through within me, a sting like that of a bee, and at the end of that second, the pain was gone and it was a success!
Amazing, so quick and almost painless with no anesthesia! She completed the ring and there it was! She wrapped me up in some gauze and began to go over the cleaning methods and what products were the simplest and most effective! She sold U/us a bottle of satin, a cleanser with lotion type abilities to prevent chaffing! She again reviewed everything on the pamphlet and with a beautiful smile, wished U/us good times and W/we did the same for her as she announced that she is getting married very soon!
At home that night and through the next morning, i bled although it was not much, it is something one hopes ceases quickly. And it did, Saturday afternoon and has not bled a drop since. i have done the salt soaks as well as the cleansing and look forward to the day when it is all healed!
