I had wanted a genital piercing for a long time. I started out researching the topic on BME, reading reviews and looking at pictures. Eventually I decided on a Prince Albert. Not only does it look cool as hell, but also it only requires making one new hole (the entrance to the urethra being the other hole). This makes it one of the fastest healing male genital piercings.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon Artist Alexia Studio Satori Studios Location 15-501 between Chapel Hill and Durham, NC Once I decided to do it, I searched BME for a location in the Chapel Hill or Durham area of NC. I came across the name of a place close to where I am (being a student at UNC) on 15-501, just outside Chapel Hill. The piercer was named Alexia at Satori Studios. They charged $75 for my PA, which was the cheapest I found in this area. One place in Greenville, NC (my hometown) wanted $100 and I said 'no thanks'.
So I went to Satori Studios. When I walked in, there was a black couch to my left with what looked like a family of Mexicans chillin', looking through books of tattoo art. The two youngest little Latinos, who looked to be around 6 or 8, were running around the lobby playing with each other. I didn't see anyone working at the front desk, but I could hear the buzz of the tattoo needle off in the background. I took a seat across the lobby from the Mexican clan and tried to look as though it wasn't actually my first time walking into a place like that. But the fact is, I'm a prep, a nerd, a computer geek, a senior in college at UNC, dressed in my khakis and my polo shirt tucked in neatly. God I didn't fit in. Staring at the large Latino dude to my left, dressed in his too-big jeans and a dingy wife-beater tank-top, bulging biceps covered in tattoos, man, he must been thinking, "What the hell is that skinny white boy doing here?" So to escape his gaze, I got up and walked over to the racks of posters on the wall, showing all the various artworks you can have tattooed. Trying to relax. "Where the hell is someone who works here?!?" I paced up and down the lobby, although still trying to act relaxed and suave.
I decided to walk to the back, past the front counter, and maybe see if there was someone back there who could help me. To my left, in a corner, was a display case with different rings and bars, etc. I decided to browse and maybe pick out a ring that I liked. Then, from over my shoulder, I hear, "Can I help you?"
"Yes, I'm looking for Alexia," I said. "You found her, " the shorthaired lady replied. I told her I had read about her on BME, that she came recommended; that I wanted a PA, and that this was my first ever piercing. She said she wasn't busy and could take me immediately. That sounded good to me, because if I waited around much longer, my resolve would weaken and I'd probably decide not to go through with it. I was already nervous as hell, sweating, and the Mexicans in the lobby staring at me like I was some sort of alien they'd never seen before didn't help.
Alexia took me into the first room. We chatted about little stuff while she cleaned up and prepared for the job. I was impressed with the office. It was cleaner than some doctor's offices I've been to. She was very professional, of course, explaining to me about the after care and healing time and all that. She gave me a care instruction sheet and a zip-lock bag full of sea-salt, for making the saline solution to cleanse the piercing in. When she was ready, I took off my pants and boxers and hopped up on the table. I told her that needles didn't bother me, and that I wanted to sit up and watch. That was fine with her. I really am quite good with pain. And sharp objects have never scared me too much. I asked Alexia if I needed to have an erection when she did this. She said, "Please don't, you'll bleed a whole lot more." As it turned out, I was so nervous there was no way I could ever have gotten an erection. My dick was actually smaller than normal--which is embarrassing when a total stranger, and a woman, is about to put her hands on it. But I figured she'd seen this reaction before, and she's a professional, so what do I care, right? I got over the embarrassment really quickly and it wasn't a problem after that. I began to relax as she prepped me dick for the piercing. She has a soft touch that's reassuring and her explaining everything step-by-step helped a lot. I decided to go with a 10-gauge ring--that being her advice--and I'm glad I did. She marked a little spot with a black felt-tip pen where she was going to make the piercing. She put it just to the right of my frenular cord, if you know where that is (and if you don't, you'll find out if you get a PA). If you cut the frenular cord, she said, it takes longer to heal, and some people say it takes away some of the sensitivity to the frenum itself, which I definitely didn't want. Next, she put the insertion tube down my urethra to match up with the underside of the dot where the hole was going to be.
Alexia told me to take a few deep breaths, I did, and relaxed my body, and then in a split second she pushed the needle through the black dot above my frenum straight into the insertion tube inside my urethra. Sting! Burn! Muscles contracting. Then warmth. Relaxing again. It's over. Just like that, I had my PA. I had waited for four months, and it was perfect. Alexia did such a perfect job that the black dot on the outside next to my frenum couldn't be seen at all. She had totally pierced it out! She followed the needle through with the ring and used her pliers to close the ring onto the bead. And it was done.
I started bleeding about two minutes later. We wrapped my penis with gauze and put a pad down there too, like a girl uses for her period. I paid her $80, said thanks, and left. Back at my dorm room I inspected "the damage". Lots of blood. I brewed up some of that saline and soaked it. The rewrapped it in tissue paper and the pad. I wore briefs to hold it all in one place. Walking wasn't a problem, but bending down, sitting or standing, was uncomfortable. Two days later, the bleeding stopped. That is, until I tried to masturbate. Whoops. More blood. It bled again for another day, but then it stopped. I learned my lesson and didn't masturbate for almost a week. Then everything was cool. It's been about three weeks now, and I seem totally healed. I'm still using the saline solution though and cleaning it every time I shower. Other than that, it's basically maintenance free. It doesn't hurt anymore and I can bend over. I haven't quite gotten the knack of peeing standing up yet. It tends to follow the curvature of the ring and spray everywhere. In the mean time, I'm just sitting down to pee--that works just fine. As far as feeling is concerned, I can't really feel it at all. I think I want a thicker, heavier ring. Just moving around I can't feel it, but when I masturbate I can feel the ring moving around inside my urethra, and that feels great! I'm considering going back soon and getting an 8 gauge or a 6 gauge to replace my 10 gauge. Maybe I'll feel that more when I'm walking around. Hey, if I get something heavy enough, maybe it'll stretch my cock!
So in summary, I enjoyed every bit of the experience and can't wait to pierce something else, perhaps my scrotum. Alexia is a pro with a gentle touch and quick hands. It happened so fast I couldn't believe it. I have total confidence in that woman when it comes to my genitals and her needles. If you live in the Triangle and want a piercing, this is your lady!
