Having no other piercings, and parents and many close friends who are very much against them, I wanted a piercing that only I, and those VERY close to me, knew about. I had also been a fan of genital piercings for some time and originally thought of getting a foreskin piercing. Piercing has always excited me and if I was allowed would have had my ear pierced years ago. Nipple piercings would also be good! But on arrival at the studio in Nottingham, I was told a Prince Albert (PA) piercing would be a far better option - particularly with regard to the healing process which is far less complicated and considerably faster than foreskin piercings.

I was very apprehensive before the piercing - worrying particularly how much it would hurt and also how much it would bleed once the ring was in and I was sent on my way. The studio I chose, Access All Areas on Market Street, Nottingham City Centre, was such because it was one that a friend, who had had many piercings in the past, recommended to me as the best around. She told me that it was clean, hygienic and that they had an autoclave - which I was told was vital.

Having travelled into the City Centre, I was nervous before going into the studio. I almost didn't go through with it. However, I went in and was sat down in a comfortable leather chair and told to wait. It seemed to take nearly an hour - but it was more like a 20 minute wait at the most. I was led through to the piercing cubicle upstairs and I was then told to take my jeans and underpants down once sitting on the [what seemed to be a dentist's] chair - which I duly did. I had a slight erection at this point - which quickly subsided after I saw the needle! He asked me which way I dressed - and I told him that I didn't know! (It turns out that he has pierced me on the wrong side, but it doesn't seem to matter). I was locally anaesthetised and, after a short discussion about how much it would hurt, was pleased when it was all over - with almost no pain at all. I looked down at my penis to notice that there was now a shiny 10 ga. captive ball ring through it. I could'nt believe how quick the process was. Just a slight, sudden but sharp, prick was all that I felt.

The endorphin rush was amazing, and although I don't take drugs, I would liken it to being high on illegal substances! I strutted out of the studio and down into a cafe bar and had a cappacino coffee whilst sitting looking at all these 'normal' people who didn't have a clue why I was smiling so widely (or what was now inside my trousers)! I would recommend this piercing, done in a good studio, to anyone considering it. I was given just a tissue to cover my now bleeding penis - which was surprising. I was also advised not to have any sexual contact, including masturbation, for a week - which I followed exactly.

Healing was quick and painless - ensuring that I kept my penis clean and clear of blood. It healed well, with no problems, in 2 weeks. But urinating was a great problem in the first few days! The pain on the night following the piercing was acute! Driving was also a bit of a problem in the early days - catching it and keeping the car steady was, not surprisingly, difficult!

Since the piercing now 2 1/2 years ago, I have stretched the piercing up to 6 ga., and have replaced the cbr with a continuous captive segment ring - which looks far better. However, the segment has a tendency to trap skin on the end of my penis in its two joins - which hurts! But masturbating is greatly improved after having this piercing. The Prince Albert ring - particularly a nice thick one like I have now - makes my penis tip so sensitive. I have not, unfortunately, had a chance to 'christen' the adornment on the end of my penis properly yet - but when I do, I hope to improve the experiences for both of us with my PA. I intend to stretch the piercing again - but will replace the captive segment ring with another captive ball ring - perhaps up to 4 or even 2 ga. I would like to hear from anyone who has had an experience with a captive segment ring - especially in a Prince Albert piercing, to find out if anyone else has experienced the sort of problems that I have.
