Hot Sun, Good Wine and a Chest Needle |

Often times, a spontaneous reaction is the best reaction. That is how it happened when I decided to do my own Prince Albert. Having just returned from a trip to the West Coast I was taken with seeing a Prince Abert for the first time on a guy that was just about as good looking as they come. He swore that it was the best thing he had ever done. Visually, I found it not only asthetically pleasing but erotic. It was also somehow reckless and engaging. We all have days where we remember every detail of where we were, the time, the event and even the smells. That is how I remember July 10, 1981. It was a great day to be off and I decided to take my 30' sailboat for a ride. The wind was poor but it was a great day to sun and skinny dip. I had a couple of bottles of good wine on board the boat and enough food for a small party. After about half a bottle of wine I began thinking about that Prince albert. I remembered how it made my heart race when I saw it the first time. I remember how stimulated I became when I touched it. I knew I wanted one so before leaving San Francisco I purchased a couple of rings in different sizes. I bought an 8 gauge captive ball ring and two bent barbells in an 8 and a 10 gauge. As luck would have it, they were still wrapped in a side pocket of my backpack which I had brought to the sailboat. I got them out and played with them, imagining how they would look in my cock. After a moment I thought "It's now or never!" I got my first aid kit out. I keep suture material, gloves, xylocaine, and sterile instruments on board. Why? because I can and I have had to suture people who have hurt themselves on board. I put the 8 gauge rings in a solution of betadine in a sterile cup. I got out a pair of needle carriers and the largest curved round needle I had in the box. I cleaned my cock with betadine and swabed the urethera as well. Using a small needle I injected some Xylocaine 2% into the region I knew the piercing ought to go. I gave it about ten minutes and unwrapped my gloves and the needle. The process was very simple. I sat on the counter in the galley, put my feet on the companionway steps and went for it. I did not want to cut or scratch the interior of the urethera so I inserted a cotton swab in the uretheral opening. Holding my cock up toward my navel, carefully I guided the needle down to the point of exit at the frenum beyond the glans. I felt comfortable with the position and with one continuous movement I put the needle through the tissue. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. In fact, I had to press hard to get the needle to puncture the tissue but the needle went right in. I took a deep breath and allowed the needle to stay in place. There was virtually no bleeding. I remember the sound of the needle going through the tissue in my cock. It was not exactly a crunch but a little rough sounding. Reaching into the cup of betadine I took out the first piece of jewelry I found. It was the 8 gauge bent barbell. Another deep breath and I pressed the needle in through the meatus as far as it would go then retracted it slowly. The moment It went back through the piercing I placed the bent barbell on the opening, now showing a little blood, and pressed it in. It slid in and I relaxed and sat there for a few minutes. I kept saying over and over, "damn, you did it, you did it." It was just as I expected; very erotic and somehow taboo. By this time I was hard as a rock. The xylocaine was wearing off and I could feel a little stinging but it wasn't bad at all. I put the screw balls in the ring and cleaned up.
After finishing the bottle of wine and some time in the sun I went back to shore and home. I couldn't quit thinking about the PA and knew that somehow I had passed a milestone. Putting it in and because of the circumstances, it almost seemed ritualistic. The next day at the hospital I laughed to myself standing in the OR knowing that I was the only one there with a Prince Albert. Healing took a short time and was relatively painless. That was 19 years ago and I still feel good about putting it in. No longer an 8 gauge, I like the look and feel of an 0 gauge. The weight and the feel can't be described and has to be experienced.
Readers should understand that this was an unusual situation and not the recommended way to put in a PA. I had the knowledge and tools to do the job. There are many good piercing shops available now, even I use them rather than pierce myself. I have to admit that I revel in the idea of putting in my own PA, but looking back I also realize that it was not real smart. A left nipple ring and a scrotal bar have completed my piercings to date, but the PA is the most erotic and certainly the most fun.
