Well, the day has finally arrived where I decided to actually do it. I spent the last several months talking to people, reading articles, and checking out shops. I felt uncomfortable with the shops in my area, as they tended to be more along the lines of the dirty, biker type tat shops, and that didn't really impress me. I got on BME, and started looking for people's experiences with genital piercings in the Orlando area, and there were several shops I found. I guess I went with Unity because of it's proximity to the freeway. I also chose this shop because of the numerous places I've called, this was one of the handful of shops were the guy on the other end of the phone was actually cool and willing to answer any, and all of my questions. I just can't stand that, "sure dude, whatever," type attitude that I was getting with most places.

I felt really good on the way there, and as I started to walk into the shop, I started feeling rather nervous about the whole thing, but after looking around I felt very good about my choice of places to go. I went to the "back" of the shop (which is actually to the side) and was greeted by Melissa. I inquired about getting a PA done, she had me fill out a form, go pay, and introduced me to Chris. I was taken aback when I found out that my piercer would be a woman! (And even had the same name as me!) But soon I would realize that it didn't really matter.

Chris led me into the "operating room," which looked more like a dentist's office than anything else. I was quite impressed. The ultrasonic cleaner, cleaning, the autoclave, claving, and the dentist chair, uh, well it was a cool chair! I told Chris that I was really, really nervous, and she said that she understood. As she was getting things ready, I asked her some questions about her piercing experience, more namely, how many PA's she had done. She said that she's done four and that I was her fifth. Well, at least she's done them before. I would have even taken one for an answer, but would probably have reconsidered if it were none. She told me to get ready, so I dropped trout and had a seat.

As I looked down, I couldn't believe what I was looking at! Is that...an acorn?! I guess Mr. Happy knew what was about to happen and would have no part in it! Chris was really cool about the whole thing and said that "they" usually know what's up. I started to feel a little better about the whole thing right there. Chris cleaned, marked, and inserted the receiving tube all while running through, step by step, what she was doing with me. I have to say that all the stories I have read about the dreaded receiving tube are all true. It sucks much ass! It was very uncomfortable; almost to the point of painful, but it was bearable. When she got the tube in place, she grabbed that huge needle and told me to do the breathing stuff. On my exhale, BAM! Whoa, that's it? I looked down to see this metal skewer sticking through my dick and was quite amazed.

The pain was (as usual) not at all what I had expected. A short, sharp pain, but not really sharp. It's hard to explain it. It was like it was supposed to be sharp, but something was masking the sharpness—like there was a fog around the pain. Chris finished it up by inserting the ring, which just felt like some pushing and tugging, and then closed it with a really cool bead I had picked out before hand. I commented something like, "yeah, I got metal in my dick!" Chris gave a chuckle, started cleaning up and then ran through the aftercare stuff with me.

It's been about a day or so since I had it done, and aside from some minimal bleeding and a little crusty blood, all is fine. I've peed several times, and every time I was gripping the toilet seat, waiting for it to sting--nothing! I even awoke with "morning wood" and there was just a small spot of blood on the toilet paper I placed in my briefs to prevent from having to get new sheets just incase I did bleed during the night. Man did it look cool! As I have just finished eating breakfast, I'm going to go clean it for the first time in the shower with the Provon soap I got from Unity. This should be interesting.

I am so sorry I had not done this sooner!!! As most people will say, if you're even remotely thinking about getting a PA done, DO IT NOW! It's not as bad as you would think. Plus, where you go helps too. Chris, and all the people at the Unity store in Orlando did an awesome job, and I would recommend them highly for anything. I'm thinking of going back there as soon as my PA heals for maybe...no, who said the "A" word?
