First, a little bit about me. I'm a 44 year old manager who's always wanted to experience the boundaries and other fringe aspects of life. As usual, family and work have usually prevented any thing like this from occurring for me. The other roadblock was my wife. She didn't like the idea of getting pierced at all. Through diligence and BME (the ability to show her what it would look like), I was able to convince my wife over the course of a few months. She would allow me to get a PA as long as I got a "speed bump" (reverse frenum) for her as well (that's another story - women, go figure). The one thing I did avoid was the size that I wanted. I pretty much directed and showed her only the smaller 12 gauge pictures. Once I got over this hurdle I had to wait for a few more months due to other involvement's and commitments that I had but this gave me some time to look around and ask questions. After some queries, I settled on Miraculous Creations out of Worcester, MA. My piercer, Rose, who owned the shop with her husband, was very helpful in resolving my questions and gave me some to look into as well.

We made the appointment for the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I also took the Monday off from work, preparing for the worst (just in case). Thanksgiving came and went and then Friday. Waiting through Friday was not easy.

So, along comes the day, I sprang out of bed, showered and just attempted to waste some time. I got into my car and drove the 45 minutes to the shop, of course, I got there an hour early.

Finally, the time came and I went into the shop and met Rose. We chatted about this and that, the after care, etc. We went into the back room where she went through about a 30 minute show and tell procedure on the devices, tools and equipment that is involved in piercing. I was impressed. She then had me hop up on the table and then proceeded to arrange the autoclaved devices and my new cbr and barbell.

It was then time to begin and then the apprehension came over me. I was in no way going to back out but the thought of the process made me nervous (little did I know!). Rose gave me some direction on breathing and then put in the receiver. Then she applied and pushed the needle. "HOLY SHIT!" She and I found out that, in her words, my skin was as thick as a brick. I was damn painful. I was not going to stop but proceeded to put my hands on the table over my head and pulled myself up the table. She was great and kept on working the needle until it was through. Once she did get through the pain ceased. I have found this the funniest part of the routine. She slipped the ring through and set in the ball. Piercing one complete!

She then set to work on my frenum. Here I am, all worked up from the pain of the previous effort and now not looking forward to this second one at all. Rose worked diligently on gathering the skin together within the clip. She then told me it was time to breathe again and then she applied the needle. I thought to myself, "that's it?" Nothing, no pain, no discomfort whatsoever. Compared to my first, this was nothing at all.

So there I lay, I had to see. Rose wasn't finished but she had a mirror for me so I could look. As I first saw it I could feel the smile going from ear to ear. Damn, that looked great!

Rose again instructed me on the after care and supplied me with gauze, special baggies and disinfectant soap to use. I tried to listen but all I kept thinking was how "ballsy" the PA looked. Oh yeah, I got an 8ga PA and a 10ga frenum. I wanted 8ga on both but Rose strongly suggested the 10 for the frenum, due to the delicate skin on the shaft, especially on the top like the way I wanted it. She said after the healing process, about 2 - 4 months, that I could stretch it to an 8ga otherwise I could tear or reject the piercing, not something I want to do for sure.

So now, it's 24 hours after and I'm thinking of what piercing I can get next. Out of all this, I think I had bleeding for about 6 hours. I had my 25th class reunion last night and had no bleeding then. I'm amazed that I've had so little.

My thoughts are mostly seeing a 0ga ring in my PA. My wife smiles and just rolls her eyes.
