I know it most likely doesn't sound like I chose the best location to have my piercing done (my house), but surprisingly my friend and I both are quite knowledgeable and have friends who have done or are doing piercings for a living and all agreed we had a very nice set up for our situation. I had once let an ex-girlfriend of mine try to pierce my scrotum...sadly she had screwed it up and it was extremely crooked. Needless to say I was not pleased. I had ended up just gauging it A LOT and too quickly. It ended up getting very thin and eventually ripped out one day. After that I had though I was done with genital piercings.

So we decided to pierce each other. I had always loved getting pierced with larger gauges so we got 8 gauge pre-sterilized needles and some rubber gloves from our friend Jon who does piercings in our area. He's my usual piercer but will not do any genital piercings sadly.
Went back to my place and set up some wax paper on top of a rubber maid, after wiping it down with alcohol swabs, then placed a bowl full of alcohol on the top, along with the gloves, needle, jewelry, put RJD2 in the C.D. player, and a trusty sharpie in hand.
I was extremely nervous. It was my first genital piercing since the one my ex-girlfriend had botched. At least this time around we actually had a piercing needle instead of a horse needle and some gloves and two people who knew what they are doing at this point. So well, we set up and marked where I wanted it pierced, then shined my huge florescent light on it to see if any veins were passing through the area. Man that thing was hot. Adam took forever looking just to make sure and be super careful about. I do thank him for it, but I think hitting a vein would have hurt less than that big light burning into my leg.
We saw nothing and decided it was clear. This was the first time I had ever been pantsless out front of someone besides a girlfriend, so to be quite honest it took Adam and I some doing but we calmed me down enough so I could lay back and proceed with the piercing. Adam lined up the marks as I layed back on my bed with my head propped up and watched, next I saw him pick up the needle, I was starting to feel my anxiety go through the roof again, uh oh, and then he had me take a deep breath. As I was breathing in he pushed the needle through. WOO, that was fun, it had hurt alot less than I had expected and looked ten times better than I had thought it would. The worst was done. An 8 gauge needle in my sac. It wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. I actually was perfectly fine...besides the shaking. (I always end up shaking a lot after I get pierced) Adam let me sit for a few minutes before putting the jewelry in so I wasn't shaking as badly. Putting the jewelry through act ually hurt more than the piercing itself.
I was so glad I had gone through with it though.
After I cleaned myself up a bit, and pulled up my pants. I stood up and gave Adam a huge hug. After that night we were closer than we had ever been. I don't have any other friends I am as comfortable around as I am around him. I have to say, next to my ears. This was one of the most rewarding piercings I had ever had. I would tell anyone who is thinking of doing it that they should definitely follow through with it. This piercing hurt less than my cartilage and in my opinion looks a lot better as well. That was just the beginning of my genital piercings. Adam and I had decided that since it went so well we wanted to do it again. So for the last month he has been working on a scrotal ladder and foreskin ring. So far it's halfway done. Its been taking a lot longer than expected cause of Adams busy schedule with work and dance class, and him living so far away.
I won't be able to have it completed until this Christmas at this point, because Adam is leaving for college tomorrow morning and I for some reason just can't bring myself to do my own piercings. It's worth the wait for me though.
