At the time of this piercing, I was quite new to them. I had been an avid follower of BMEzine, but only had my earlobes pierced due to work not allowing any kind of facial piercings.

One of them had pierced her nipple when she was 15, and had told our boss about it, who had decided to go and get hers done the next week. I was quite fascinated by nipple piercings, but had never really thought about getting one of my own.
I'd gone home and told my partner that I wanted to find out more about getting it done, and he was a bit reluctant to go along with it as he doesn't like piercings all that much, but that wasn't enough to deter me from my decision; my mind had already been made up!
So I went to Mikes Tattooz the next day as it was my day off, and spoke to the guy there about getting it pierced. He was friendly and informative, explaining to me that it was one of the more sensitive areas to pierce, but the pain, like with almost all piercings, lasts the duration of the procedure and is forgotten straight afterwards.
He made me feel safe and secure, and having been in this particular studio many times for tattoos, I felt happy to let him get his hands on my skin.
Having little to no inhibitions, I was able to take my tops off without blinking. He had said he's had people in before that have tried hiding their boobs with their hands and curling up so he couldn't see them; what's the point in that? If you want something pierced, you will have to show the area to someone eventually, or it'll never get done!
Anyways, we decided on the left nipple, and I sat myself down on the bench to watch while he marked me up. When we were both happy with the alignment, he snapped on a fresh pair of gloves and got ready to metal me up. I honestly can't remember if he used clamps or not, I was having a huge adrenaline rush and wasn't paying much attention to anything around me! I'll assume he did though, because he does everything above board and ensures the best result is given.
So we started breathing techniques, and after three exhales he tells me he is going to put it in on the next one. So one more in, and all I could think was 'am I too late to back out now?', but before I could think anything else, I felt a sharp pain in my left nipple. I made a hissing noise and fought the urge to grab my breast and roll away from him. Evil man making me hurt!! But less than a second later, I started suffered pain transference, and my right nipple started hurting! So I had to fight the urge to grab both my breasts and run away screaming!
However, this split second of indecision and pain was just that; a split second. Feeding the jewellery through was no problem, although it did feel a little perculiar, but I'm assuming having metal pushed through your nipple is not a regular occurrence in everyday life...for some people anyways!
I got my bra back on and put a small wad of tissue in the cup so that I wouldn't rub too much on the fabric. I paid him the previously agreed amount and he gave me the aftercare lecture, along with a sheet on how to care for my new piercing. He recommended I use a round cup with saline solution and dip it in, meaning it got a good soak, three times a day.
I was so happy with my new piercing and thought it looked gorgeous!
This was what opened the floodgates to a fascination with piercings, and led to me getting many many more, all from the same man.
I never had any problems with healing, it was very tender for a while and I worried about touching it for a long time in case it was still sore, but that was down to this being my first piercing other than my lobes, when I was around 9. It is one of my favourites, and makes me feel great! I feel like I've got this secret hiding in my bra, that only a few close friends and partners have seen. I'd say to anybody considering this to make sure they're happy with the studio they're in, and not to be shy about getting their boobs out. These people see these kinds of things (and more) every day! But be prepared for the pain, it's more intense than any other piercing I've had, but it does only last a minute, if that.
Happy piercing!!
