I had wanted these piercings for quite a while, but, it wasn't until someone told me about the LHC and how it might end the world (it actually wouldn't of, it was just a test that day) that I decided I would finnaly get the courage to go and get them done.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When A month ago Artist Rob Studio studio 9 Location Southend-on-sea I already knew that I'd be getting them at studio 9, because, the piercer there (Rob) is actually amazing and has done most of my other piercings and all of my microdermals, I find it so strange that Rob has such a bad reputation seeing as he is such a great piercer, I'm thinking that maybe it's because he works above a hairdressers.
I had to leave rather early-ish because the trains had been down around that time and I wasn't quite sure if I'd have to get the bus or not, it turned out that they were running, so, I bought my train ticket and awaited a train to take me to southend.
The train journey was a rather boring, quite one, the tediousness of it seemed to add to my nerves, by the time I was at southend victoria station I could barely walk with nerves, so I took the short cut through new look to get to the high street.
The high street is quite big and usually I would have looked around some shops first, but, my nerves really wouldn't have allowed it that day.
Studio 9 is on queens road and is less than a minutes walk from new look, I headed to queens road stopping first at the news agents to buy some coke and a freddo(my favourite pre-piercing chocolate) then went next door to Studio 9, I walked up to the reception desk and said boldly "I would like to get some piercings please" I hadn't realised that Rob was downstairs too until he came over and asked me what I wanted to get done, so I told him that I would like my nipples pierced he replied with his usual 'riiiight then, good stuff' which never fails to make me giggle.
I signed the consent form and headed upstairs after Rob, I had to wait a few minutes while he set stuff up, I used that time to eat my freddo and drink some coke.
When He had finished setting up, Rob came to get me, I walked into the piercing room and Rob closed the blinds (theres a whacking great big window right at the front) I took off my bra and top, although I held my top over my stomach as I didn't want Rob to see my 'squishy bits'
Rob sat down to mark me up because I'm so short (barely 5 ft) and chatted to me the whole time which really relaxed me, it actually didn't feel like I was standing there half naked, which was good.
We discussed different placements and such and eventually settled for vertical piercings, when all the marking was done, Rob got me to lay on the bed (which is surprisingly comfortable!) and told me outright that He was going to use his numbing spray on them, because, I am really terrible with pain.
Rob sprayed my nipples with this liquid, that made my nipples go really cold, then it fizzed 'feels weird don't it' Rob stated to which I replied 'haha ooh it tickles a bit'.
The clamp was put on then the needle went through and the same happened on my other nipple, this did not hurt, but by the time Rob started to pull the jewellery through the numbness had started to wear off and it was slightly uncomfortable, but, nothing unbearable, it really helped that Rob kept talking with me as it distracted me from any pain that occured, he's really easy to talk too as well, we have great little chats when I go there.
After, Rob put some plasters on my nipples and I got dressed again, I was still feeling a bit weak so I drank some more coke, as I opened the bottle it fizzed everywhere, but Rob, being the lovely man he is gave me some tissue to wipe the coke off my hands clothes and bag and even pointed out the bits I missed.
I paid him £50 and said my goodbyes.
I never got to really see the piercings that first day as they were bleeding a fair bit, but, the next morning, I was able to take the plasters off and clean away the dried blood.
All in all I think that was £50 very well spent, my piercings are absolutely lovely, they are healing wonderfully and haven't had any problems at all, I'd reccomend Rob at studio 9 to anyone, he is the only piercer I trust fully to do anything on me, he is the best!!!
