It all started as one of those jokes, the ones where you judge the other persons reaction. My friend Chelsea and I do this a lot. We tend to do things together. Well back in November of 2005 I jokingly suggested we get our nipples pierced on Valentines Day. We both laughed and talked about how we probably wouldn't have a Valentine. We talked about it on and off until early January. Then we decided we would do it.

We decided to go to All or Nothing, in Smyrna, GA. I had heard so many great things about the people there. Then we talked and we were just going to do it before our planned day. I called the shop at the beginning of the week to make an appointment. I didn't need one, so I just made sure they piercer would be there. So everything was good to go. Saturday morning I woke up, showered, and ate. Kept myself occupied while I waited on Chelsea to show up. She showed up at my house around two.
We hopped in the car, hoping we wouldn't get lost. About 20 minutes later we found All or Nothing. We sat in my car for a few minutes. Walked in. We were greeted at the counter by a few people. All of them were very nice. Told them what we wanted. We were then informed that both piercers were at a tattoo convention. I was really bummed about that. But they were all very cool about things. They told us just for the inconvenience all we had to do was pay for the jewelry and the piercing would be free. We then signed our release forms. We were also told that we could just call or come back after February 12th. That was cool, $40 instead of $80! Hell yeah. So we left and went shopping for the rest of the day.
So we decided we would go on Valentines Day, like our original plan. We had to wait a week and half, but it wasn't bad. So I called All or Nothing on Valentines Day to make sure there would be a piercer there that night, and they told me yes. So I started to get really excited again. Chelsea got out of class at 7:45, and was at my house by 8:00. We jumped in the car and went on our way. We were so excited the entire drive. Talking about how bad it was going to hurt, we apologized to our boobs for the entire drive.
We got to the shop, walked in, told them what we wanted. Then it was time to get really, really nervous. Max would be the one piercing us. He had to find out release forms that we had signed when we paid. After that we had to go into the piercing room to show him what he was working with. This was slightly awkward. Then we went back into the lobby for a minute. We chatted about what type of jewelry to use. I really wanted straight barbells; he wanted to use CBR's. He convinced us to go with CBR's. We think he just likes the look of boobies with "rings" in them. He later told us that "Every girl should have rings in her nipples." Other than that he seems like he would be a really cool guy.
Then it was really time. He set up, and I went back. I was kind of disappointed that Chelsea couldn't hold my hand; I was so scared of the pain. I sat there topless for a few minutes while he marked me. Then it took me a bit to relax enough to be pierced. I grabbed to table and looked away. All I felt was a small burning sensation, and the right side was done. Then another small burning sensation and the left was done. It really wasn't as bad as I had thought. Then I watched as he put the jewelry in. I was done. I got up looked at what I had. I tipped him and walked into the lobby. Then it was Chelsea's turn. I sat in the lobby chatting with a few people that work there, then she came out and we left. It ended up being a Valentines to remember.
Its been a few weeks, and I haven't had any problems. They haven't been very crusty at all. They were pretty sore from about 20 minutes after they were pierced to four days later. I took Motrin the first night to help the pain so I could sleep. Work sucked for a few days too. But after the pain went away, its almost like they've always been there. Also All or Nothing is a pretty cool shop. Its still pretty new, but they have some amazing tattoo artists and the piercer seems like a pretty cool guy as well. Worth checking out.
