Almost a month and a half ago, I got both of my nipples pierced. I had been thinking about getting them for years but I was always waiting for a different piercing to heal first (I had to wait for my industrial, navel, and nostril piercings to heal).

The only problem with this decision was that I could not find anyone to go with me because besides my guy friends, all of my girl friends thought nipple rings were disgusting and did not want to be around for the procedure. I wanted to go with someone but doubted anyone would want to come with me. That all changed once a girl moved into the dorm right across from me. She liked getting pierced as much as I did so one day I decided to mention what I was planning on piercing. I then found out that she had already pierced hers and had barbells put in. She warned me about certain things such as getting your barbells caught on a bath towel and to sea salt soak them a lot so they heal nicely. Besides her advice, I did some last minute research on how to care for them and to read up on some problems that may occur (such as having too small of a diameter for the nipple rings or developing mastitis and other forms of infection). After my research, I decided I still wanted to go through with it and the next day I went to get them pierced.
In the past I had gotten pierced at another studio but my friend said this place was very clean and knew what they were doing. I also remembered looking this place up on the web and finding many good things about the studio. We decided to go there.
When we entered, I went over to the receptionist and told her what I would like to get pierced and she then asked for my identification and information. I decided on getting rings because they seemed easier to clean and also they were cheaper than barbells. I signed some papers and then was told to follow the piercer. She seemed friendly and I felt comfortable near here. The room looked and smelled very clean and she cleaned the tools in front of me. After that, she put a new pair of rubber gloves on and marked where the piercings would be placed. She changed her gloves once more and picked up the needle and other tools. She told me to breathe in and as she put the needle through and to breath out once the needle was completely through. I was very surprised by the lack of pain. I think what hurt the most was putting the C.B.R's (captive bead ring) in. She then did the other one and she was done. I could not believe how quick and painless it was. I thanked her probably a thousand times and left, very excited about my new piercings.
Unlike what most girls do after they get their nipples pierced, I did not go around flaunting them and only showed a few people. The people I did show thought they looked great on me and I was not worried at all about them. The piercings looked even and the ring's diameter looked big enough for my nipples. Also, I cleaned them twice a day with dial soap; sea salt soaked them every two days, and always wore a bra but slept in a sports bra at night.
One thing I did not realize was that after getting your nipples pierced, the nipples tend to get bigger after awhile. After a few weeks, I realized that I could not comfortably move the rings and they did not hang down well. I had a bad feeling they were too small so I decided to call the piercing place. They said that I should come in so they could check it out.
When I got there, a different piercer was there and I found out that he was one of the head piercers. He wanted to make sure everything was okay so he brought me into the same clean room and checked them out. I was right-they were too small.
The piercer apologized a thousand times and put in barbells for me free of charge. I'm not upset with the studio because for a week I even thought the rings were big enough. After this little incident, I have had no problems with my piercings. I still regularly soak and clean them and hope that no other issues will arise. I would recommend this piercing because it looks cool and it makes sex feel better for some reason (Remember, no rough play with them until they are healed). Go for it!
