It was Wednesday last week when I decided that I wanted my nipple pierced. I'm usually one to die my hair fairly often or wear alternative clothes but since I moved in with my Dad a few months back, he's wanted me to be more "normal" and "presentable". As he is an awesome dad I happily went along with it.

Until now. I was getting bored with myself and wanted something new but dad is against piercing and tattoos. I already had my ears done 3 times each lobe, my tragus, belly button and nose so I needed something different and my nipple felt just right for this situation.

Once I had definitely made my mind up I asked my mate Chris to take me today (Tuesday) and he said that it was all good.

So this morning I woke up early-ish got ready and waited for Chris to pick me up. There were no nerves or anything at that stage. We drove the 40 minutes into town to get to the studio when it opened at 10am to make sure I could get an appointment as I had not booked in.

When we arrived, I was still fine with no nerves. I walked up to the counter and asked if they would be able to fit me in today and Brendan (the guy at the counter) said that it would be fine. And then he asked my age. You see, that is where the problem was. I'm only 15 and they aren't allowed to legally pierce anyone under 18 (which is why I haven't included the name of the studio). Fortunately I look older than I am and told him I was 17. He was still dodgy about it so I told him that one of my friends who is 17 came in the other week and got her lip pierced and he did it anyway.

That seemed to work so I filled out all of the necessary forms and was told that he could do it now. That's when the nerves started. I didn't expect to be able to get it done so soon. So as I was led into the booth, I signalled for Chris to come in with me because I wanted to hold his hand :)

The booth was really clean and had a really cool Chinese picture on the wall, a basin, soap dispenser etc and seeing it made me a little calmer. Brendan got me to sit down on the bed and went through the aftercare with me then got me to lift my top up to expose the nipple I wanted pierced. I had decided on my left nipple so he marked the exit and entry points and asked me if it looked how I wanted. I thought it was fine so I was told to lie down on the bed.

I have a very high pain tolerance but from the stories I had heard I was dreading the pain. So I was glad Chris was there for moral support... and to lend a hand :)

Once I was lying down, I closed my eyes and started breathing REALLY deeply. He attached the clamp and then told me to take a big breath in, hold it, and release it slowly when he said to. I did as I was told and felt the needle go through. It wasn't painful but it did feel odd and took longer than I expected to pass through. Once that part was over I went through the same instructions as he inserted the jewellery.

I opened my eyes and was told that I could sit up and have a look to make sure it ended up how I wanted it and when I saw it I just smiled because it was perfect.

I exited the booth and paid for my newest addition which was meant to be $65 but I only had to pay $60. I was amazed to find that I wasn't in any pain at all. Later on when we went to McDonalds it began to hurt but that faded after an hour or so and now I'm even wearing a bra comfortably.

My boobs aren't really that big. In fact, they are quite small so this new piercing makes me feel not only new again but proud of my boobs! And it's perfect because my dad will never know unless I mess up royally :)

I would like to thank Brendan who is so cool to let me get this done even though I wasn't old enough to get it done and Chris for being my taxi for the day and my "moral support".

This is a piercing I would recommend to anyone who wants something discreet as it is personal and no-one has to know about it unless you tell them and because it is NOT as painful as you would think.

Happy piercing yall :)
