Wow! I can't believe I've finally gotten my nipple pierced! The first time I was going to go get it done, my cousin and I walked all the way there in a snow storm, me saying every five minutes that I was nervous, only to find out that they were closed because of the weather. The next time I tried to go, a girl from school was supposed to drive me but she blew me off. This time, I didn't really expect to get it done...but I did!

So me and my cousin, Chelsea, decided we were going to go shopping. After spending a couple hundred dollars, we went back to her house. Then, she suggested we go try again to get my nipple pierced. So, we did. When I walked in, I could hear the familiar sound of the tattoo gun. In an odd way, it was comforting. I think it was because I knew that I had already gotten through the pain of a tattoo and that a nipple piercing would be no problem. So, I paid the money, and waited while the clamps and stuff did their thing in the autoclave. Then, it was my turn.
I had never been so nervous in my whole life. Risa told me to take my shirt off and have a seat on the bench. It was like that thing you sit on at the doctor's office. Then, Risa's apprentice came in and she wanted to know if she could watch. I asked Risa if it hurt and she said "Umm..yes". How...comforting? I couldn't turn back now. Risa noticed that I was extremely nervous, maybe because I only breathed every 2 minutes. Risa explained to me what she was going to do, and that I couldn't tense up because it would hurt a million times more, and that I couldn't move because she may end up amputating my nipple. My heart was pounding and I'm sure everybody else in the place could hear it. She asked if my cousin was going to come in, but she's afraid of needles, so she didn't.
The apprentice girl held my hand which was comforting even though she was a stranger. She was talking to me to keep my mind off what was going to happen. She asked me what I got for Christmas, and I was telling her how I just blew my Christmas money at the Boxing Week sales. I tell you, all those people who say that the clamp hurts more...you are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! It's like a Purple Nurple times infinity. I grunted it off and kept breathing. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Then I felt the burning of the needle. Now, surprisingly, it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it was going to..but, it wasn't no paper cut either. It made a weird popping noise. The pain only lasted for about five seconds and then I finally started to breathe again. It was a bit uncomfortable when she put the jewelry in, but I was done. It was beautiful. Greatest Christmas present EVER!
Risa wiped up the bit of blood that was there, and then put some gauze on it. She told me not to take the gauze off for a few hours. She told me to put my bra back on, and that the higher my breasts sit, the better it feels. She was right, smart lady. I put my shirt on and walked out into the store. The apprentice gave me my aftercare solution and a business card. They told me how long it would take to heal and that if I had any questions, not to hesitate to call.
On the walk back to Chelsea's house, it was burning. Nothing to bad. But I could completely tell that I actually have a nipple on my body. I couldn't bend over to pick up my bags, and my Aunt gave me a weird look when I asked Chelsea to pick them up. On the ride home, every bump we hit was like holding a lit match to my nipple. Right now, it's feeling alright. The pain stopped about 15 minutes ago, and only really hurts when I move a lot. I just peeked at it too. It's beautiful. But, don't tell Risa!
I recommend this piercing to all the ladies. It hurts a bit, but it's definitely worth it. I now have a piercing that nobody else knows about but me. If you're thinking about doing it, GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. I couldn't wait to tell all of my friends, and maybe even convince a few of them to get it done. I couldn't wait to show my boyfriend either. I don't know if it was more torture for me to wait the couple of hours, or for him to be able to see it. LADIES: GO FOR IT!
