When I Pierced My Own Nipples

Well I was around the age of 16-17 years old and wanted piercings really bad. My mom and dad were really conservative at the time, (Now my younger brother has 3 face piercings and my parents did nothing about those, lets not even get into that,) and they would never allow me to get anything besides my ear lobes done, because I was a girl, so I decided to take action into my own hands.

I had pierced 3 other ear holes in my ears, (the first two were done when I was a baby) and then moved on to pierce my navel. Those went smoothly. I loved my stomach piercing. I showed a pro my stomach and he said it was centered and very well done, but not encouraging me to do anything ever again. Of course I was going to, I loved it! I felt really happy doing these myself.

Then I had the urge to pierce my nipples which is a little risqué to say the least. I was young and never really thought or worried about what would happen if I would mess it up. When you're 16 you're just reckless and want what you want right away. So I just decided to give it a try.

I got my trusted, very sharp safety pin and went on to try to pierce my nipples. I didn't ice them because I found that it made the skin tougher to pierce through. So I began. It was really tricky fighting the pain and forcing it through the skin. Halfway through, I paused for a second and then persisted on finishing what I had started. After I got it through I put the barbell in. It was perfect, center, deep enough and everything, it was great. So I continued on with the other. This one I wanted as a vertical, (the other was horizontal), I went on to pierce this nipple, and the same deal happened, it went well enough, extremely painful, but I could handle pain back then. I used Polysporine to lube it though.

It was okay healing them, I soaked them with salt and water in shot glasses. I also did what you're not suppose to do and put Polysporine on them, because I love that stuff, it heals everything so well.

What I found out over the months that went by was that nipple piercings have the tendency to migrate out. This was so disappointing, I thought I had done a good job. My friend that got hers done by a pro said that hers were doing the same. I don't know if it was because of my bra, or boyfriend, but it was slowly moving outward. Like my body was slowly rejecting it.

After I had done my own I had three friends who wanted me to pierce their nipples! I showed them mine and they thought they were really pretty and cute so I agreed to do this. So I had a little piercing party and....(this is so irresponsible, remember I was young and stupid!) we drank, well I drank, and I pierced all three nipples. Three boobs in one night, I was proud of myself. I was so happy to see that I did them straight and deep enough. So happy. I would have been so upset if I messed up someone else's body. They still have theirs in and they say there's have migrated out a bit but not enough to worry about it. So at least there's worked out!

This is the most horrible part of my story: I was trying on a bra and, eek, my barbell got hooked on to one of the bras I was trying on and it ripped out since my skin was so thin. There was major blood. I was horrified for my nipple. I tried to get home as soon as possible. I put bandages and hoped my nipple would look normal after.

Well I'm 19 now and I was 18 when I took my other one out. My one nipple is still a bit damaged. It takes a little extra tweaking for it to get stimulated, (ladies, you know what I mean.) Of course I am really regretting ever piercing my nipples but kind of have the urge to get them done again but by a pro this time. I found that when I had them I was really extra sensitive and I miss that. I think I might talk to a plastic surgeon first to see if I just might have nerve damage. My advice to anyone would be get it done by a pro because I was just crazy. They are really nice looking if u have nice looking boobs as well.

Funny thing when I was with my Mom and Dad at the hospital getting an x-ray on my chest, they were checking my oesophagus. They told me to take off my bra but I didn't think of taking out my vertical barbell that was left in. Well, when the x-ray was mounted in front of them I was hoping they wouldn't ask what the white arrow was, and they never did. Phew, that was close, and hilarious.
