Okay, a little backround... I became interested in the body modification culture in the tender age of nine, when I had my ears pierced for the first time. After that I just... Fell in love. Yes, I had problems with my ears, they used a piercing gun in that little shop where I got them pierced. Nothing major. My first self-piercing experience was when I was 11, I pierced my nostril. With a safety pin. I was an ass, I know that. I thought that boiling the thing in hot water would be enough but... Well, it got infected, surprise surprise. And daddy was really mad. REALLY, really mad.

I've been piercing myself for about four years now, I'm currently 15 and I have 11 piercings, 7 lobes and a helix and an anti helix, plus my septum and left nipple. I also enjoy play piercing very much. The only catch is the total disapproval of piercing at home. Dad just wants to rip my ears off. He thinks it's mutilation that only aborigines should experience. Well.... okay... Most of my piercings are kept hidden from my dad, like my septum. Even my step mom doesn't know about it. I had my tongue pierced a year ago, three times to be exact and my step mom went just crazy when she accidentally saw it, she was panicking what to say to dad. My dad grounded me for about two months for that... He likes to ground me. Weird. ANYWAY.

I do not recommend self-piercing UNLESS you know what your doing and use sterilized equipment.Otherwise, it could and probably will get really ugly. Fair enough, I think I'll get to the story.

I had that piercing itch, I think some of you know what I'm talking about. I had a spare 16 gauge cannular needle. Well, 25 of them.. And I had planned to do this nipple piercing for a while, but I was so scared to do it after I had read about mastitis etc. that I postponed the piercing a little bit until I had bought proper jewelry since I only had small CBR's and bananabells and stuff that were improper for the job..

The next day I borrowed some money from my friend and went and bought a 316L CBR, 18 gauge. I then went back home and started planning... I gathered my equipment: paper towels, a little lube (which proved to be totally useless) the needle, and the CBR and cleaned my hands and nipple. I decided on the left one because I slept on my right side so it wouldn't get annoyed... I was a little nervous, I had pierced my nipple experimentally two times before and I can tell you, it hurt. It hurd BAD. So I was a little scared...

But then I started. I popped the nipple out so I could have some kind of a grip. I reached out for the needle, opened the package and stared at my poor nipple. This was gonna hurt. BUT... I was surprised. It didn't. I have no idea what made it so painless, it just was. The needle went through fairly easily, I held the needle in for about 5 minutes, I lubed the needle a bit and I pulled it forwards and backwards but it didn't seem to go in the freshly made opening. Well, I thought it didn't matter, after all the CBR was a little smaller than the needle. I pulled the needle out and immediately a small drop of blood came out. I rushed the CBR in and I was stunned. It was in. had done it. I put the ball back in the ring and went and cleaned it with a little saline. I put a little paper between my new piercing and bra so that it wouldn't get all bloody. I admired it a long time that night, it was and still is gorgeous.

For the first 3 days it was a little tender, but nothing major. I enjoyed walking without a bra at home, it was a relief when I could just take them off and lay in bed or something. I then switched it to a 14 gauge barbell during a shower on the 4th day, I can tell you, that was not comfortable. It even bled a little. So now I have a barbell in it with a normal titanium ball and a UV-reactive violet ball. It's so cute...

It's been a month now and I can tell you, I adore this one. It's so cute. My left nipple isn't inverted anymore. YAY!! I just can't keep looking at them, they're hardly crusty anymore. I'm looking forward to my P.E. classes, we're going swimming the next time, so I'm thrilled, maybe I'll hear a few whispers about my "extra nipples".. I've cleaned it daily with warm water, that's it. And it's behaved nicely. Hasn't been cranky or anything. Well... That's it. Happy piercing, you guys, but remember... SAFETY FIRST!!
