I've been interested in piercing ever since the age of about 9 when my mom came home with her belly button done. Of course, she had an allergy to the metal, so it got infected and she had to take it out, but it was too late, I was already hooked.
At A Glance Author mm8b Contact anonymous When Three months ago Artist Tanya Studio Jaded Location Lethbridge, Alberta I started nagging her about getting my ears pierced again (I got my first holes when I was 3 months) and finally, on my 13th birthday, she let me. I got another one in my upper lobe on my 14th. When I was 16, I got my navel. When I was 17, I got my nose.
But of course, those were just small peanuts, to me.
I wanted to get my nipples done. Actually, when I secretly went to get my navel done, I was ORIGINALLY going to get my nipples done but alas, I didn't have the money. Plus, I was on a field trip from a Christian school...so you know how that is.
Anyways. The week after my 18th birthday, I had money in my account, and I was bored. So, I decided to go for a walk. That's when I passed Jaded.
I decided, hey, why don't I get an industrial? My ears only had 3 in each one; I could always use one more.
I went in, and this guy came out of the room with his nipple newly pierced.
I stared.
I was IN LOVE.
It was beautiful! It framed his rosy red nipples; they looked like a mouth (the piercing; it was so cute! I bought myself one on eBay heh) and it was just... I honestly got aroused just from looking at that. I figured, hey, if I can get that horny just from LOOKING at one on a guy I don't even know, I wonder how horny it'll make my boyfriend? (Not a good reason to do it, I know, but I grew up in a conservative household and didn't want to admit to myself that I actually wanted my NIPPLE pierced for MYSELF. If I got it done for someone else, though, then it's not as bad! Stupid, I know. I've since smartened up.)
I asked how much it was; 55$ for a ring, 80$ for a barbell. I decided only to get my left one done, so that way if I didn't like them I would have one "natural" nipple. Barbell looked prettier, and plus she told me for my nipples they would heal better. Plus, they wouldn't get snagged on clothing as often (OH MY GOD THAT HURT... excuse the TMI but doggy style and having your nipple ring snag on a pillow case... I've never made such a squeak of pain in my life!) And so, I went for it.
It was a total spontaneous thing. She took me in the room, told me how she's very sterile and sanitary, she's the only one who touches her equipment, she's the sole piercer there, she's got lots of experience, etc. Then (and I loved this) she asked if she could "see her" so that she could figure out what size to use. I've never had my nipples described as "her" before lol; it made me smile and made whatever apprehension I had disappear.
She used a 14 gage; I'm not sure how long it is, maybe a half an inch? I have little nipples, so we didn't need a big one. She had me stand up while she marked it, then I lay down while she pierced. The clamps didn't hurt AT ALL. My moms friend got hers done and said the worst part about the whole piercing were the clamps; but I barely felt the clamp. When she put the needle through, though, WOA. I could FEEL the skin tearing. It hurt like a dirty mother. For all of 10 seconds.
Then the barbell was in and she was cleaning my and her stuff up and it was done. She told me to stay out of hot tubs, keep bodily fluids away from it for 2 weeks (my boyfriend wanted to touch it the second he saw it! He liked it as much as I did!)
I looked down; I loved it. It was perfect. It IS perfect. She gave me some saline to use on it, and other then a little bit of healing pus the first week, it's healed beautifully. I've even stretched it out to a bigger gauge so I could put those captive beads in.
It's the best piercing I've had so far; I'm getting the other done too, eventually. I kind of feel uneven walking around with one pierced and one not. Plus, I love how I ALWAYS have a perky nipple now! I LOVE THIS PIERCING! Of course, I'm getting a vertical clitoral hood piercing next week, so we'll see how it goes, shall we?
