I've always been really fascinated with piercings and tattoos, but my parents haven't really been for them. Finally when I was 16 I convinced them to let me get my conch pierced, but then my mom said no more until I was 18. So when my 18th birthday rolled around in September I was extremely excited because I had all this new piercing freedom. My best friend bought me a nose ring on my birthday and I got a tattoo 2 days later and my mom asked if I was finally done and I thought so, but it was just the beginning.

I'm very busty and I thought it would bring more attention to an already unwanted chest and also I was really afraid of it hurting a lot (Maddie said it didn't hurt at all, but this other girl said it hurt a lot). I have a high threshold for pain, but this was kinda different. So I looked around BME for a while and I talked to some people who I knew had theirs done and I was still pondering it.
My sister lives in Asheville which is 2 hours away from where I go to school, so the weekend after my birthday I went to go visit her. We were just hanging out and talking about my new piercing and tattoo and I mentioned that I was thinking about getting my nipples pierced and she said she was all for it. She's very busty also, but she's getting a reduction and as a celebratory present she's getting hers pierced. So she told me she would split the price of them (for my birthday) with me because my financial situation was also holding me back from doing it.
We went out to breakfast the next morning and she had work later that afternoon, so after a very filling breakfast at Denny's we headed over to her favorite tattoo parlor. I was really nervous about it and we had to wait for the piercer to get there because they had just opened, so my nerves were running high. Finally she got there and it made me feel more comfortable that it was a woman piercer so a male wouldn't have to see me topless. We decided on barbells and my sister ended up paying for it all (she's the best person ever) and we went into the back room.
She told me what she was going to do and went through all the pre-piercing talk and the three of us just talked while she got things ready. Then she told me to strip down so she could mark where the barbells should be placed. Then she told me to lay down because it would be easier to pierce them while I was flat. She started on the right one first and put the clamp on, which really wasn't too comfortable. Then she told me to take a deep breath and counted to 3 and I felt a slight pinch, but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Then she put the barbell through and screwed on the ball. Now we're halfway done. She went around to the left one and once again put them clamp on and lined up the needle, told me to take a deep breath and I was really relaxed for this one because I thought it was going to be like the first one, but NO, it hurt A LOT more, but she finished up and put the barbell through and screwed on the ball. I got up and looked in the mirror and I really loved what I saw. The left one was bleeding a little though so she gave me some gauze to put on it. I then turned to my sister and said, "mom is going to kill us." Which later turned out to not be true, but she was still not too happy.
We tipped her and left and on the way home they started to get kinda uncomfortable, but nothing too unbearable. We got to her house and I layed down on her bed, but kinda awkwardly because I couldn't really move my torso too well since any tension on my chest hurt. They were sore for about a week afterwards and bled for about 4 days after that and I was concerned at first, but then later was told that that was a side effect sometimes. Its been about 3 months now and I love them a lot. They're my favorite piercings and they're kinda like my secret piercing because you can't look at me and tell that I have them. I plan on getting more piercings in the future, but I have to wait until I can get more money.
