Studio Iron Horse Tattoo Studios
Location Las Vegas, NV
My sisters and I had taken a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada and we decided that for our last night we wanted to do something crazy that we would remember. This indicated something permanent to us and I decided to get a tattoo and my nipples repierced (more on the first piercing later). We almost did not end up doing anything because we could not find the tattoo parlor. We were driving around at 12 something a.m on our last night there, (also last opportunity), and we were lost and freaking out because they closed at 1 a.m and one of my sisters really wanted a tattoo.

When we finally found the studio we were happy to see that it looked clean. There was a long line of people (which might have had something to do with the bar across the street but I do not know) but they were really only just watching the few people before us. When it was finally my turn to do my piercing (I decided to do the piercings before the tattoo because I could not decide what tattoo to get), I was really nervous. We had become somewhat friendly with the staff by that point and the girl who would be piercing me was really cool but I always get nervous before a piercing. I guess I should be worried the time I do not get nervous. It helped that they had a little room in the back that was designated for piercing and the doors closed, but the shop was so small that if I screamed or made any noise, my sisters would hear and tease me forever. I was also nervous because I had had my nipples done before and that was a pleasant painless experience, but the right one rejected and I took out the other because I felt stupid only having one in. So I was worried because I have always heard that piercing through scar tissue is very painful.

She had me take off my shirt and lie down which was unusual to me. She had the professionalism of a doctor which was good. She took out a felt tip marker and she marked the spots a little wider than they had been the time before, which was good because I figured they would have a better chance that way, and bad because I thought that might make it hurt more(more flesh for the needle to go through more painful, I figured). I agreed to the marks and she took out this clamp and clamped the first one. I have heard people say that the clamping part hurts but this was not the case for me. She held up the needle and told me to take in a deep breath (which I find helps with all piercings). As soon as I did, she shoved the needle through and I felt a slight sharp pain which was more than I felt the first time I had them done (scar tissue maybe?). I could not really feel her stick the jewelry in and I chastised myself for being such a nervous wimp before, like I always do when the piercing is not as bad as I had thought it would be. The second one went pretty much the same way: the clamp was cold but did not hurt like everyone says it does, I took a deep breathe and the needle went in with a slight pinch. I could feel the jewelry go in this time but it was not too bad. The rings were really big and when I asked why she said it makes them heal better.

She assured me my breasts were normal ( I had asked about them in comparison to others she has done) and told me I had done really well. I had wanted to get them done vertically at the same time but apparently you cannot get more than 3 blood wasting things in a day or you risk getting sick or something and I guess the tattoo and two nipples took care of that quota. I bought my dial bacterial soap and cleaned my nipples with them everyday.

They both rejected this time and I am now thinking of getting them done vertically instead. If you are thinking of getting this piercing, I encourage it. For me, they were a pain in my hindside, not with the actual initial piercings but afterwards it would sometimes feel like I was having them pierced over and over again. Plus they rejected again and I don't know why? But that is just my case, I am sure yours will be different. They are not that painful to get and they look cool, especially when you get the nipple shields and put those in. So get them done. Now.
