I had been meaning to get both nipples pierced for my birthday, which was in November, but it just didn't work out. So, instead of a birthday present, they became a Christmas present to myself, as I'm going to visit some friends of mine in a few months who I haven't seen in years, and part of me wanted to be show-offy. So my boyfriend (who has rings in his nipples) took me to Funhouse Tattoo. There was one other place I was considering getting peirced at, Chrome Lotus, but they were closed, and I decided to just go for it.

We thanked her and went to the mall for Christmas present shopping and so I could peruse the pamphlet. We went back to Funhouse, and Anji was lying on the couch watching a movie, 'cause she was a little sick and not feeling too good. She had me fill out paperwork and took me into the back room, which was cool, as it had a pierced dildo. The pierced dildo was one of the first things my boyfriend looked at, and it made him nervous (hee hee, I love that dildo!)
I took my shirt off, and she marked my nipples. It occurs to me that this sounds like a cheap porno- She took me into the back room where I removed my shirt... Heh heh. Anyhow, she had me stand up straight and she marked my nipples, one little blue sharpie dot on each side of each nipple. Since my areolas stick out a bit (puffy nipples) I was a little concerned. I don't know what I thought, just that for whatever reason, it wouldn't go right. I hadn't been able to find any info online about puffy nipples being pierced (probably because there's no problem with it!) But as it was, the room was kinda cold and there's something about wet cotton swabs rubbing your nipples that makes them hard pretty quick, so everything went fine.
Anji told me to lay down on the table, which had a roll of paper running down the center, just like at the doctor's office, and she opened each package right there in front of me, first the clamps, which she wrapped a rubber band around, then the jewelry and the needle. Honestly, there may have been two needles, but I didn't see, 'cause I was a bit nervous. This was my first body piercing, and I lay down rather quickly and tried to calm down. Which wasn't too hard, 'cause Anji was really nice, and we were joking about the dildo and talking about Derek's piercings, which had been acting up, (turns out the place he got them didn't give him the right aftercare instructions) and then came the zero hour. She put the clamp on my nipple, which sort of hurt, but I didn't say anything because a) it wasn't that bad and b) I was about to get metal shoved through the damn nipple. If I couldn't take a clamp, how was the piercing itself going to be??
So I kept quiet, and Anji tweaked and adjusted and everything, and then told me to take a deep breath. At which point my mind went "SHIT! she'sgonnapiercemynippleohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!!" and when I exhaled..yeow. Needle. The truly weird thing about it was that I could feel it moving through my nipple. Then one more ouch as she did something with the jewelry (I sure as hell wasn't looking, I'm a wimp like that) I waited a few minutes between piercings, I wasn't sure I could take the next one so soon. Anji said to take my time, and we chatted for a bit. So then she wheeled the table around, and I lay down again. The second was the same, except the it didn't bleed at all - my right nipple (number 1) bled a tiny bit out the side closest to my chest, and Anji wiped it down with a cotton swab soaked in.. I'm not sure. Something yellow, I assume antimicrobial stuff.
So, I was all done, and it was time for adventure number 1- the bra. The bra went on ok, I just couldn't help standing a bit weird 'cause I was a little sore and hurty.
Then came adventure number 2- The seatbelt. Seatbelts are scary. I ended up chickening out and holding it away from me the whole ride back.
All in all, my biggest problem the entire time was that I had my shoulders up and back and all tensed up. I am sure to get a back ache tomorrow, but at least I shall have my beautiful nipples! I can't wait to get shields for them ^^.
