So here goes, I have 9 ear piercings, a navel piercing, did have a nose piercing but took it out, a tongue piercing.......was there really anything left to pierce ? ?

One of my ex boyfriend had both of his nipples pierced and I have to be honest but I didn't see the appeal to it, but suddenly it seemed like an exciting thing to do. I thought about it for about a week and decided that I was just going to go for it. With my tongue piercing I had researched it thoroughly on the BME website (which can I say was a fantastic information source) and I guess it was a good thing to do. But with the nipple piercing I had decided to just go and do it. Spare of the moment thing and all that.
So, I had told my mom I was going to get it done on the Friday morning and she said she would come with me. I checked the price over the phone and decided a nipple ring was best for me. But then I had another idea....
The day before I was going to get my nipple pierced, I was in the town and my mom said 'I don't really fancy coming back into town tomorrow so why don't you go and get your nipple pierced now?' I suddenly started to panic and my heart was beating fast and I remember thinking 'I was supposed to be nervous tomorrow not now!!!' But then I thought, oh what the hell she's right, making another journey into the town doesn't make sense, so off i went to get pierced....
I got there at 2:10pm and the lady behind the desk got me to fill out a consent form and told me that the piercing man wouldn't be in til 2:30pm so I had 20 minutes feeling as nervous as anything, I don't remember feeling this nervous about any other piercing !!
I filled out the form and was looking at all of the loverly body jewellery they had in the studio. It took my mind of getting anther hole in my body....
The man came in and I went through into the piercing room and sat down on a chair. He got me to take my top off and take my left breast out of my bra, leaving my right breast in my bra (I only wanted the one pierced you see) I didn't feel embarassed or nervous about getting my breast out like I thought I was going to, especially him being a man and everything. He measured what size my nipple was so he knew what size ring to put in. He marked my nipple with 2 purple dots and then asked if I was happy. I said 'Yes' and then he showed me the needle coming out of a fresh packet and sterilized everything in front of me. He wiped my nipple with a sterile cloth and then sprayed my nipple so it was numb. He then pulled my nipple out with a clamp.
Then it was time for the piercing, he said 'Take a deep breath in for me love and then I will pierce as you breathe out' I remember not wanting to breathe out because I knew it was going to hurt and OH MY GOD IT KILLED ! ! The numbing stuff did not work at all, I was going to smack him in the mouth because of the pain but I just kept smiling everytime he kept asking 'You ok sweet?'
Then he put the ring in which was the worst bit and then he put a cloth over it for 3 minutes to allow it to stop bleeding, which it didn't bleed a lot anyway.
I put my top back on and away I went, altogether it cost £19 and he gave me some Sea Salt and an aftercare sheet and told me how to look after it.
All the way home I screamed everytime I changed gear in my car, it was totally painfull ! When I got home I changed my padded bra to a loose one and the pain went. I cleaned it a few hours later and now it looks really good. Still a bit bruised and it did swell up for the first couple of hours but what do you expect ?
If you're thinking about getting it done, yes go for it, but make sure it's something which you want, which I'm sure it will be!
