Well I always wanted to get a nipple ring, but it was just lately that I had a urge to get a navel piercing as well. The main reason I wanted a nipple ring was because one of my nipples was 'shyer' then the other. So I wanted to make a permanent change to help it be 'unshy', and make it look pretty and normal.

I have to say that even thought some places are very pricey, it's very worth it. There are little things where we have to watch out for when getting a nipple piercing though. And I knew nothing till I read other people's stories, and like Australian-piercing places' websites. It's actually important to make sure your jewelry is internally threaded, this help prevents infections. Most places carry externally threaded (the cheap places) so always ask where you get your jewelry if it's internally threaded or not.
So I called around and found out Anatomic had internal jewelry, and they gave me a deal for 2 piercings. I made an appointment and went down with my boyfriend the following day. When we arrived I met Cory, and Teagan, then was to fill out a form. The next step was to choose the jewelry, they were very helpful. I got a curved barbell for both my nipple and navel. She said it heals faster because it doesn't move around as much as a ring. My navel one had a jewel on the bottom.
Anyways Cory got everything prepared and I thought the girl, Teagan was going to do the piercings, but actually it was the guy. It was a little awkward at first but he's very calm and nice so it was actually very relaxing, and not nerve racking!! He was telling me how to clean, like the after care stuff and was slowly taking all the packaged needles, and other stuff he needed. It was all very clean and he had changed his gloves like 3 times. He was done preparing and said he was done. So I slipped off my shirt and bra, and was ready to go. He had to use some ink on a toothpick to mark the entry and exit points on my nipple. He asked me how it was and he said he thought it was perfect. Well I said it was fine because IM trusting him. He asked if I wanted to sit or lie down. I read somewhere that it's better to be sitting because it tends to be not moving around as much. So that's what I chose. Now sitting, I was told to close my eyes, inhale through my nose and exhale with my mouth. And he would pierce while I exhaled. So I was doing my breathings.. And I was about to scream as I exhaled and felt the needle!! The needle is a very very noticeable feeling!!~ It's not a pinch like people say!!~ It's a very painful 2 seconds!!~ (Never look while being pierced btw!!) the jewelry went in perfectly fine because he lubed it. And that was it. The only pain was the needle.
Next was the navel, (teagan had said that i might pass out if I did both piercings at once, but I thought it would be fine and that it's better to do it both at once.) and while he was getting ready for this he told me to lie down on the bench. This piercing went a lot faster and I didn't even look at what's going on. It went faster but the pain from the needle was exactly the same for 2 seconds. But this one was harder for him to get the jewelry bead screwed on, so that was a little painful. But after all that it was well worth it!!~ I was so proud of my 2 new piercings!! The only thing is the cleaning's a pain, but makes me feel like it's so special because I have to look after it so carefully. It's been 3 days since, and I've had some bleeding on the nipple, the navel's doing perfectly fine. But so far everything looks great!! DO THE SALT SOAKS!!~ It kills the germs and also stops the bleeding, swelling and helps the piercing heal.
I would recommend this place to anyone!~ they are very friendly, and nice. They are very clean and the jewelry is great there !! (Since I have sensitive skin and cannot wear the fake/cheap stuff) came to like 200 for the piercings and jewelrys and I tipped Cory 10 bucks. I didn't know how much you are suppose to tip so I just tipped 10. They charged the piercings for 45 together, navel jewelry at 70 and nipple jewelry at 60 and I guess some taxes.
