So, as you can gather from the somewhat confusing title, that day was the third time that I had my right nipple pierced. I wasn't nervous, in all I had been through the procedure 5 times, so I knew what was going to happen.

I decided to go on my own, skipping my free period at school so I wouldn't have people annoying me and nagging me. I went and got my 40pound out of the hole in the wall (now I've moved to Canada, I no longer have the pound sign), and went to buy myself a drink to keep my sugar levels up.

Sitting in the café, I questioned weather, I really should be going through this. Again. I mean, the place I was going to had pierced me wrong 4 times in all. All on my nipples, only one had actually been pierced successfully, and that was done by another studio. But, me being me, I'm a stubborn git and a half, so I thought to go through with it anyway. How I regret that now.

As usual, I signed the wavier, and sat and waited to be called through. When I was called, I sat on the dentist chair, and took my top off and showed the nipple that I wanted re-pierced. The piercer asked how long ago I had taken the old bar out, I replied about 1 and a half months, and he decided that this would be a sufficient time period for the hole to heal up. He cleaned the area, and marked the entry and exit holes with the trade mark purple pen.

After changing his gloves, he put the clamp on (which I find quite arousing, I'm weird like that) and began to freeze it. I loved the sensation of it, made me giggle on the inside. Once he changed his gloves again, he unwrapped the sterilized needle, and it was time to re-re-pierce my nipple.

I knew that it would hurt, or pinch, a lot more than it normally would, due to the amount of scar tissue. And pinch it did. It was hard getting the needle through the tissue. I almost cried out. But I held my breath and shut my eyes tight. Once the needle was through, a little blood seeped out. The piercer put the bar in, screwed the ball on, and I was on my way.

However, that night, during the salt soak process, I knew something was wrong. My nipple looked as if it had shifted over to the right. Upon closer inspection, I realized what was wrong. Not only had the piercer, pierced through scar tissue, he also had gone underneath my nipple, and pushed the needle up about 4mm left of the nipple. It doesn't sound much, but it is. I was fuming. I continued the salt soak and removed the crusties, and put some medical gauze on it. I don't know why, I guess I though doing this would ease the pain.

Next morning, I woke up in excruciating pain. As women will know, wearing a bra with the seam crossing over the nipple can be irritating. I always sleep on my front, so obviously the seam and me sleeping on my front, had aided the ball on the left of the nipple to go INTO my nipple. As you can guess I was freaking out.

But again, me being me, I pushed it out. Not only did blood come out, but puss too. Nevertheless I cleaned it with the salt soak, and proceeded to do this process for another 2 months.

Now, I am still in pain. I am truly an idiot. I have just taken the bar out (literally half an hour ago) and my nipple is still oozing out puss and blood. There is also a hole on the left size which, at a guess, is now 3 or 4 mm wide and 2mm deep. As I have moved here now, hopefully I will find a place that can consult me on weather it is safe enough to get it re-re-re-pierced. I highly doubt it though.

The moral of the story is this: if you happen to be the unlucky receiver of a botch job piercing, DO NOT go back to the same place for any other piercing. Even if they're cheap. It's not worth risking your health for someone who just wants you're money and doesn't give a flying monkey about your personal health. Secondly, if you do have a piercing that goes awry, please, get it checked out, and if they say take it out, then take it out. The pain is NOT worth it. Whatsoever. To be honest, the whole, no pain no gain thing, does not apply to piercings. If it's painful because it's done wrong, then don't keep it in!
