Let's just say I'm not really a stranger to body mods. Over the past couple years I have had my ears pierced a few times over, I have stretched them, I have gotten my belly button pierced and I have had my nose pierced. I am not the most experienced person, but I have had my share of needles poked into me.

Little did I know I would wait 3 or 4 months! I guess I kind of strayed away from piercings because, let's face it, they cost a lot of money to keep getting new ones and to keep buying new jewelery. I also had a $2 000 trip I had to pay for (yeah, Italy here I come!). I started thinking about getting a new piece of metal but I was not sure if I still wanted my nipple done. A lot of people seemed to be getting them done and it seemed so mainstream. Nonetheless, January 14, 2004 rolled around and me and my best friend (yes the same one from the other story) started talking about our past piercing endeavours with each other and how we missed them! We decided we needed to get new body mods together and create new memories...
This was a very rash decision. The next day, me and 3 of my friends walked into Artistics. At the front desk there was a line-up of guys talking. We told Jeremy (our piercer, really cool guy) what we were in for, his buddies handed us all forms and we were off. I was getting my nipple pierced, along with one of my friends, Carr was getting her tongue pierced, and Megan was getting her ears pierced. Katie went first...
We all went into the room (pretty big room). Jeremy marked her nip, told her to lie down, clamped her and stabbed her. She told me it did not hurt at all, but I (THE WORRIER) got extremely worked up. I lifted up my shirt, Jeremy marked it, told me to lie down, TRIED to clamp my nipple but apparently I have 'small nipples' so it hurt like a bitch. Then he stabbed me...
Oh my god, that was probably the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my whole entire life! I mean, I thought the clamp was painful, but I had no idea what was in store for my poor nipple! I swore and everyone in the room thought I was telling Jeremy to fuck off...I did not though!! I felt so bad after that. *Tear* Then Carr went and got her tongue pierced and started drooling!! Oh man, it was adorable! And then Megs got her ears pierced, my poor little worrywart! She was in a trance when Jeremy was talking to her...she is so cute! Meanwhile I was sitting on a chair shivering. I felt like such a dork but I was probably in shock. We left the room and paid for our piercings (the accumulated price was probably over $120!) and got our aftercare sheets. We chatted it up with Jeremy about what the best aftercare solutions would be and then we left.
It was really sore afterwards and it probably did not help that once Carra and I got back to her place we walked for 10 minutes in the FREEZING cold to a Timmy's. Having Nipplitus is so much more painful when it's tightening around a foreign object. When I got home, I waited until I got ready for bed to clean it. There was no blood and I decided I would be a genious and NOT wear a bra to bed. Bad bad BAD idea! I woke up and my nipple was soooooo freaking sore. And I guess I knocked it in my sleep so it had blood crusted to it. I cleaned it again and it felt so much better. You have to love the feeling of cleaning solution on a new piercing. So relieving!
So I have had my piercing for almost 2 weeks now and it's healing pretty nicely. It's a little crusty and sometimes if I bang it when I am getting changed or taking off my bra it gets a little testy but overall it is doing well. The only problem I had with it is the first night when I didn't wear a bra to bed and when I turned it. It started bleeding some more. I told one of my friends who has had hers pierced for a couple months and she said not to turn it unless I am in the shower and to put non-scented anti-bacterial soap on it while turning it. It has worked amazingly and no more pain! I was a little unsure about having it pierced at first but I absolutely LOVE it now. It's so cute and sexy. I cannot wait to test it out! Haha! And there is another memory for me and my friends. It was a fun one and I can't wait for my next piercing: horizontal navel piercing on the bottom of my belly button!! WOOHOOO!
