I decided about five minutes after I had my nipples pierced that I wanted to stretch them a little bit. (They were pierced at 16 gauge since I have small nipples. The piercer (Jeremy) told me that it would most likely cause too much scar tissue to originally pierce them at 14 gauge.)

I waited till they were fully healed from the original piercing, and were looking good, which was roughly a little more than one month.

I had fourteen gauge hoops left over from the last stretching I did, my ears, fourteen gauge to ten gauge. So, I had the jewelry, all I needed was the taper. I of course ordered it from the BME Shop, and played the waiting game till it arrived.

The package arrived this morning as I was leaving for work. I had originally planned on waiting till I had a day off work to stretch them since I had no idea how long it would take me, but, as I am an anxious and impatient person I decided to sit at the sink and do it as soon as I got home from work.

I pulled apart the sixteen gauge hoops with needed nose pliers, and lubed up the piercing with Webber's vitamin E cream. I also made sure to lube up the taper. I removed the left hoop, and began to slowly, and gently push the taper through the hole. I felt a little resistance at first, but I found that if I spun the taper as I pushed it in it made it easier, and did not really hurt at all to be honest. The actual stretching portion of the process was very quick to my surprise, only took me approximately ten minutes to fifteen minutes.

I was told by friends to first heat up my nipples using a hot cloth, so I did that by simply letting it sit under the faucet for a few minutes on hot, didn't have to boil it or anything like that. They told me it would take away from the pain a bit, as well as soften the tissue.

My first attempt at putting the fourteen gauge hoop through was unsuccessful. I lubed it up nicely, lined up the end of the hoop with the back end of the taper, which has a small beveled edge to hold the hoop better, and I tried to push it though. The taper pushed out, but the hoop was still not in. I pushed the taper back through again, and was again unsuccessful. Third time was the charm, I pushed it through perfectly, and it looked great. Now the only problem I ran into was having to put the small bead in the gap of the hoop. I squeezed the hoop closed; just enough space for the bead to fit, and it took me about twenty minutes just to get the bead in! Was very difficult to do having large finger tips.

Next was time to stretch the right nipple piercing. I knew it would be more difficult since I am right handed, and I would have to use my left hand more for this one.

Just as I did with the first, I lubed up my nipple, and the taper with the Webber's cream. Then I heated it up with the warm cloth. I removed the sixteen gauge hoop, and began to push the taper through, this nipple gave a bit more of a resistance, and it took a little longer than the first. I think maybe because it got colder in the bathroom, and my nipple stiffened up a bit. I had to take the hot cloth and heat it up again, to make the nipple softer, as well as make the skin more pliable. I eventually pushed the taper through and I let it sit for a couple minutes since it was a little sore. Once again I was unsuccessful at putting the hoop through the first time. But, I was getting better; I got it through on the second try instead of the third! Again though, I had a very hard time lining up the bead with the gap in the hoop. All I can think of is that there must be some trick to doing it that I am not yet aware of.

It has been about twenty, to thirty minutes since I've done the stretching, and they are just now starting to get a little sore. I think it is once again the coldness of my room, which is in the basement of my house; so it's really cold. My nipples are getting harder, and the pain is more intense.

All in all I am glad, and happy I stretched my nipples. It was my first self stretching, as a friend did my ears for me, and think it went rather well.
