Well lets just say that my beginnings with piercing were not neccessarily conservative but I think most people start off with a little information and as they are exposed and their own understanding expands so does their vision for what they want for themselves. But one of my hurdles was fear. I had wanted my nipples pierced for a long time and thought my face and ears I can deal with, but my breastesses? I had my inner conches done and Derek said that if I can deal with those, then nips were no problem. Ok, but, I was just waiting for the day that I would feel like it was time to pierce them.

Well one day I woke up and my back hurt and I had cramps. I thought yuk, I bet if I do em today my back won't hurt anymore. Almost like a talisman. I just felt like the boost I would get from overcoming this ridiculous pain fear would make my day and I knew that that was it, It's gonna be today! Now this is also D, my buddy and co-worker. I am not vain about my tits, I just felt like OH BOY here we go. Awkward. Now put it this way, I had gone so far as to wear o-rings on my nipples (thanks nipple-trick!) to get that extra celebratory boobie feeling, but I knew that the actual piercing would be one of my favorites once done. I think small breasts look great pierced.
So I walk in and I tell him, today is the day, he shrugs and says cool. We decided on 12 gauge 5/8" steel captives. Of course there were other things going on in the shop so at one point he said, "all right, are you ready?" Auugh! yep,lets go. So we go to the piercing room which was nice and cool and I thought, shit this is it. I was smiling like an idiot, but also nervous. I took off my shirt and stood there topless while Derek prepared the implements of perforation.
Like an athlete warming up for a game I grabbed each nipple and wrenched em up and down at the same time like a maniac, ok girls, lets GO! Derek turned around and saw me do that and we practically died laughing. I was a little embarassed, I guess I forgot he was there for a sec. He said that he had, uh, never seen anyone do that to their nipples before. Oh well it seemed right. We spent a bit of time marking them and it was kind of funny to have him tweaking my nipples to check the marks. Derek is a maniac about cross-contamination, we go through gloves like mad, but I am grateful for his attention. Of course I am his apprentice so I knew everything was sterilized, and set up on lap cloth on a steel tray. It seemed like forever to get the crepe paper on the gyno-table, and finally I saw the cork wedged between his pinkie and fourth finger, thats his 'ready hand' with the needle kinda tucked in his hand. So I leaned back and he told me to take a deep breath in, hold f or a three count, then exhale slowly, we did that three times and on the third he pushed the needle through. Yow, well that hurt but ok, sweet not bad yow, cool, he followed the needle with the captive, nice exchange, lovely!
Second nipple, lets go. We went through the breathing, and when he pushed the needle I (BAD PIERCEE) jerked up yelled "mother of god" and ripped the paper on the table. I looked down and he did another wonderful exchange. There was only a wee spot of blood on each. He cleaned em up and I looked in the mirror and said, yeah buddy! I freaking love them! Then I asked, "Did I move?" He said, "uh, yeah, you sat up on the second one." Then it occurred to me how funny it was that the piercing is straight straight straight, and that means he was ON it. Kinda funny. I mean, it's DEREK. What a champ!
For the next few hours I walked around like a chimpanzee with my arms out a little. Aftercare was simple and I have had no problems with the piercing. The only problem that ever reared it's head was if there was lymph dried on the rings and I moved them accidentally, it hurt like hell. That's the worst. I still love em. D has pierced me fourteen times since I met him (the nipples being our third and fourth piercing). I trust him and he's the one that is going to dermal my labia....so thats how much can happen in a year and a half... I went from being afraid of the nipple piercing to having a genital project. Nice.
