For about 5 years now I have wanted my nipples pierced, mainly because it's so "risque" and NOBODY I know has had it done, plus it just seemed appealing. Unfortunately I wasn't always over 18, and I was actually embarassed to tell anyone about my secret desire. A few months ago while talking to my friend Heather I discovered that she secretly wanted her nipples pierced too, so we both freaked out hardcore. We planned and planned to go finally get it done, but something would always come up to halt our plans. Earlier today we decided to just GO and finally do it.
At A Glance Author Anna When It just happened Artist Forgot her name Studio Turner's Touch of Class Location Ashland, KY We left this morning as soon as we were both awake, both of us very nervous yet totally excited. I, being the dummy I am, did not eat ANYTHING this morning before we left, which of course is a big mistake. I recommend to everyone to always eat before you have a body modification done, it definetely helps to calm your nerves AND keep your body stable. Anyway, we arrived at Turner's Touch of Class, which is VERY sterile (I had been there before) and the people are incredibly friendly. After I made Heather tell them what we wanted since I was too embarassed, we signed our cards and everything and Heather decided to get both of her nipples pierced, while I just opted to get my left nipple pierced mainly because my left boob is smaller than my right, so there would be less friction.
Heather decided to go first, and I wanted to watch, so the piercer made me pay first so I wouldn't back out, after she of course yelled at me for not eating any breakfast...but hey, I was nervous and out of time (but I will NEVER skip breakfast before a body modification ever again, I paid dearly). She picked our her jewelry, a cute little silver ring. The piercer marked her nipples and made sure they were even, then told Heather to sit in the infamous dentist chair. The piercer placed the clamps on her left nipple first (which people claim to be the least painful), and I watched as the needle was pushed through....okay, her face didn't look that bad, I thought to myself...then she pierced her right nipple...it took her FOREVER to get the needle through, and Heather's face looked like she was in the worst pain ever, but she finally managed to get the needle through. Poor Heather. My turn next! I was sooooo nervous and scared, but I picked out a lovely niobium ring, since she informed me that the initial piercing is never with a barbell because they usually are not wide enough, but I can always change over to a bar when my nipple heals. She marked my nipple and I sat in the chair, nervous as hell....she put the clamps on my left nipple, which I must admit hurt a little but not anything unbearable..as she approached with the needle, she told me to hold on to the chair and to curl my toes as hard as I could as she pushed the needle through. While it wasn't as bad as I expected, it was *very* painful. Although the initial piercing was bad, it wasn't very sore, but there was alot of bleeding so she placed some gauze over my nipple and asked me if I wanted to go ahead with the right nipple....I was like "NO WAY". The piercer was right handed so she admitted that it would be harder to pierce (which explains Heather's mishap) and I've always heard that the second is worse the the first one, so yes, I chickened out, but I was satisfited with just one. The piercer gave us our little aftercare sheets and explained that the re would be lots of bleeding but mainly only if the ring was moved around alot, but as far as general aftercare she recommended antibacterial soap, saline solution, Zinc supplements, and Dr. Piercing's Aftercare. We left the shop and headed straight for Wal-Mart for some extra gauze and Zinc supplements. I highly recommend wearing a bra, it greatly reduces friction and holds gauze in place very well....I almost made the mistake of NOT wearing one in order to let my nipple breathe, but a bra actually provides much-needed support. As of right now I am in total love with my new piercing, it is very easy to take care of, and it is very beautiful. I highly recommend this piercing to anyone who is looking for a new experience, because while it was painful for a little while the beauty and aesthetics are very well worth it. Not only do guys find it incredibly hot and attractive, but it is a total adrenaline rush just knowing that it is there and I managed to live through the proced ure with flying colors.
