I've been thinking about getting my nipples pierced for a while now, I saw pictures on BME, and my friend got hers done a few months ago.

I passed by a new piercing/tattoo studio, and decided to get my nipples pierced. I thought long and hard, for about 5 seconds, and made my boyfriend pay for it.
When I went in and walked up to the counter I noticed that the room was very clean, and the atmosphere was friendly. This is a very good sign. A woman at the counter greeted me and asked how she could help me. She was very pleasant and very polite. She didn't seem like the typical piercer, she was very petite, and had no tattoos that I could see, and only her ear lobes pierced. I told her that I wanted to get my nipples pierced. She was overjoyed. She hadn't had anyone wanting to get their nipples pierced in a long time.
She took me to the back room and started getting all her stuff ready. She explained to me how she had just moved here from England and was having a bit of a rough time getting her business started here. Apparently she had a very successful tattoo/piercing studio in Manchester. I asked her a few questions like what gauge she would be using, details on aftercare, what I should do if they get infected, etc. Then I got to pick out the color beads I wanted, I picked hematite, because almost all my jewelery has hematite on it.
I then took of my shirt and pulled my bra down to my stomach and she cleaned all around my nipples. I noticed that everything was sterilized in their own little cups, and she was changing her gloves every time she touched something different. I was glad because this means she's being very careful to be clean.
She then put little dots on where she would be piercing them, where the whole would be on either side of my nipples. I said I liked it, and she put on these clamps, the clamps hurt. Then I closed my eyes because I knew if I saw her coming at me with the needle I'd either faint, or run. She told me what she was doing while she was doing it. "Right now I'm just lining up the needle to the spot we picked." she said, "Ok, your going to feel a bit of a pinch now." She pushed the needle through, it hurt a little bit, not nearly as much as I was expecting. Then she went and did the same thing to the other one. Then she told me when she was putting the rings in, one, then the other. Finally she put the beads on and clamped the rings shut. This hurt a little, because it felt like she was pulling at them a bit.
I waited a minute or two as she was putting solution on them, and then I stood up to see them in the mirror. Beautiful. They were exactly what I wanted. My friend also has hers pierced, but her breasts are much smaller than mine so I was worried about the jewelery looking to big, like it did on hers. However my boobs are a lot bigger than hers, so the jewelery looks much smaller, and cuter. I waited until the solution was dry, then put my bra back on, which hurt because it rubbed quite a bit, so I decided not to wear it. My boyfriend came into the room, and I quickly flashed him a glance at my new jewelery. He liked them too.
When I got home, I took 2 shot glasses and some saline solution and cupped them over my nipples and just laid back for a little bit. It felt good to soak them because I had a tiny bit of a burning sensation.
They feel fine now, 4 hours after it happened. I'm hoping they heal up a lot better than my nose did (my last piercing) because it got infected a few times. I know to take better care of these though. I saw a really nice looking pair of nipple shields when I was looking at pictures on BME. I think I'm going to try and get some like that and change them as soon as they heal.
In conclusion, I think that I probably should have given it a bit more thought before I got my nipples pierced, but I do not regret it yet. I don't think I ever will. If you are planning on getting yours pierced, ponder it a while longer than I did, but in the end, it's a great idea. It doesn't hurt much, and they look really sexy.
Cheerio!
