For quite a while now I've been considering nipple piercings. My friend Becca has her left nipple done and it'd always been quite attractive to me. I think that it was about eight months ago that I actually considered getting one done. At first I only wanted one done, but then i decided it might look kind of lopsided, and went the whole way.

The only hesitation I had was about getting it done with CBRs or with barbells. I wanted barbells, I love the look of a shiny bead on either side of my nipple. That, and rings remind me of the cover of Aerosmiths Get A Grip album. A friend showed me this album when i was 8 or 9 years old and I have almost always associated nipples pierced with CBRs with this cover, so I couldn't get mine done with CBRs, even though I would have the piercing I wanted, I wouldn't have it they way I wanted. I'd heard people say that barbells are harder to clean, but this didn't deter me. Also, I'd end up buying them in the long run, so it would be easier for me to save a few dollars and get what I wanted to start with. A little more cleaning is worth it.

That Sunday we headed downtown at about 11, and because none of the studios were open we decided to shop around at the sex store (butt shaped soap on a rope!) and the patch (the best place for body jewelery in town). We then headed down to Pair O Dice. I told the staff there that I wanted to get both my nipples pierced, and Becca decided to get her lip done (on the left side).

We were led into the piercing room and I took off my shirt and bra and Jessica started to clean herself up and then prepare the instruments. They were laid down on a freshly cleaned glass surface and she gloved up to clean my nipples and make the marks.

She did it all slowly and meticulously, to ensure that the piercings would be on the angle that I wanted and would mirror each other perfectly. The marking process involved a lot of standing up and sitting down so that Jessica could see how they would lay when I stood up and if it would make them uneven, and It was good that I got to check that I was satisfied with the markings, and also seek Beccas approval every step of the way. This took quite a while, but was definitely worth it.

The marking was done with blue ink, which i believe was tattoo ink, which was in a tiny little tattoo cap and she drew it onto me with a fresh toothpick.

I then told her that I wanted to be pierced with barbells, so she measured my nipples and found some barbells in clean sterile packages. I lay down on the table (bed?) and continued to chat with her and Becca while she prepared the needle and jewelery.

She did everything very gently, the application of the clamps, and led me through breathing excellently, and was very calm and reassuring through the entire process.

I barely felt the needle go through the right nipple (the one she did first) and was only aware of movement when she inserted the jewelery. The left nipple was a little more painful, but it didn't really hurt, I was just conscious of what was happening.

When the piercing was over, Jessica cleaned the iodine and ink off my nipples and areolas and I stood up and got to see my pretty pierced nipples. They didn't even bleed, and they looked wonderful.

It's been about six days since I've had them done and have had no problems yet. On the first morning I over cleaned, and there was a little bit of scabbing, but aside from that no problems. I've been cleaning them once or twice a day with saline.

I want to show my nipples to everyone, these are my first "real" piercings (I have two in my left cartilage and two in each lobe, all done with piercing guns) and I'm amazed by the job Jessica did. I really like them because they're a wonderful little secret that only people I choose get to know about. I've often contemplated an eyebrow piercing, but I think ultimately for me, nipples were a good choice. Up next? I'm thinking tongue, belly button (three times) and even hood eventually. I want to start a collection of secret piercings, and this gives me enormous pleasure.

I can't wait until they're healed up enough so that I can get some nipple shields. I love the way the metal looks next to my skin, especially on my breasts because it's such a wonderful contrast, the softness of skin next to the hardness of metal, although because it's all rounded and smooth, the metal looks right there.
