Well I originally had my nipples pierced in October of 2001. To me they are the greatest adornment to my body. While the healing process went ok my right nipple ring had started to migrate. The guy who pierced me had did a great job in piercing them and telling me how to take care of them so I think the migration had a lot to do with my job, because right after I had them pierced I did a lot of lifting of heavy boxes; which needless to say really started to irritate my nipples. A little migration wasn't bad, it added character to the piercing; but then in January I noticed that the right CBR had become very crooked, the left side of the ring had started to move towards the bottom of my nipple. So I finally decided to take it out before it migrated itself out of my nipple. I had originally planned to get it re-done a few weeks later; but heck it's an expensive process so I had to save money before I could go have it re-done. I HAD to have it redone though, because I'm one of those people who has to have my body symmetrical and with only the left nipple ring in I felt off balance. Besides the whole reason I got them done was because of how nice I thought they would look. And I loved to show them off :)and I didn't like to only show off one of them.

When I finally got my right nipple re-done I went to a different studio to have it done. The studio I had went to before had changed managers and I wasn't 100% sure that the same piercer would still be there. So I figured I'd find a different studio to go to. Since I had been planning to go shopping in Sacto I decided it would be a great time to have the piercing redone. I remembered I had found a studio on BME that was in Sac, so I got the address and decided to go see how nice the studio was. After a day of shopping I drove down 30th street looking for The Exotic Body. I was a bit nervous since I had never been there before. I had also heard that nipple piercing hurts more the second time then the first. The first time I was pierced my friends were there watching and this time I was to go in alone. I was kind of surprised by the outside of the studio; it's surrounded by houses and from the outside looks like a little house. I had originally passed by it, but on t he second drive-by noticed the THE EXOTIC BODY banner that is outside.

Both the outside and the inside were very clean, and the inside was well lit and not dark like some studio's I've been to. I started to get a little nervous again as I stepped inside and waited to be helped. I didn't have to wait long when Mike Hare the owner came up to me and asked what I needed. He was very polite and friendly, and he dissolved some of my nervousness by telling me it really didn't hurt more having a nipple re-pierced. Mike took be to a room in the studio and once again I found myself standing topless while some guy got ready to jab a needle through my nipples. He asked if I still had the original CBR, but I had lost it so I would have to have a whole new one put in. It took him a while to find the ring that would match the one on my left side; he said it looked like a 12 gauge, but when he measured it it was a 14 gauge. He said it looked like a 12 gauge on my nipples, which I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing heh. He asked if I thou ght the CBR he had matched and I said it did. As I waited for him to mark the in and out point I found that I wasn't as nervous as I had been the first time. I was however more excited, I had waited for this for too long; being excited probably helped him cause it made my nipple hard, and easier to mark the points. The first time my nipple wouldn't cooperate and the piercer could not get it to get perky. Finally I was marked and ready to be pierced. Mike had me lay down on the table while he put on the forceps; and the whole time he's talking to me about where I go to school and how I found his studio. He had me take a couple of deep breaths, and as I exhaled on the third breath he said he would pierce me. I closed my eyes and must say that the piercing didn't hurt more then the first, actually I thought this time hurt less. It may be because I was more excited and had a lot of adrenaline pulsing through my body. Either way I thought it felt kinda good. He put the ring in, closed it and said that's it. Mike also gave me a lollipop which I thought was cute of the studio to give out. As I paid he handed me the cleaning guides for nipple piercing and gave me some cleanser to help clean the CBR.

It's been about a week since I had it done and I think the healing process has gone better then before. I now know to soak my nipple to get the crusty's off, and not to try and wipe them off while they are dry. I also have stayed away from anything that would irritate the piercing and might cause it to migrate. I have also learned to use q-tips to clean around the ring, which works really really well. The best time to clean them is right before you get out of the shower, because then any crusty's will have been soaked off, and it's easier to rotate the CBR. This will have to be the last piercing I get for a while because I'm kinda broke, but when I decide what else I want done whether another piercing or another tattoo I will probably go back to The Exotic Body. If you want to know anything about the studio or nipple piercing while I'm not an expert I would be more then glad to answer any questions you might have. :)
